i think the best way to check is kbb.com but to be very honest, don't expect getting too much back from the extra wheels since i think there won't be that many people are interested in all the wheels or have space to store all of them. probably better to sell the wheels separately.

yeah KBB said 43 as the highest and 37 for the lowest.......
I'd be happy with around that high number I think.....

sales(Pcar too) will go towards 2014 S 4matic with designo trim and leather, but not paint

Wow...I'd try to talk you out of it but the 14 S is a sweet ride. Agree with selling the bits separately and just the car. If you do as a package, the number of buyers is further limited from those that just dig a sweet E and you may end up "throwing in" the other items in the sale process. Ask $43, firm at $40 and the bits will more than make up the $3k diff...

Btw - put me in line for the removable roof rails. Bought a paddle board this weekend and need a way to get it to / from the beach!

Hype, one of my co-workers just bought a 2011 E550 P2 and some extra stuff and 26k miles for $38k. If that is wahat the dealer is asking, you may be disappointed in what you will actually get. My advice is to check local dealers and see what they are asking for used E550s in your area. That will help you get an idea of what the market in your area is willing to spend. In my area, 4Matic demands a slight premium due to our winters. In Florida, I would not think 4Matic would be much of an incentive.

You could be surprised. Due to extremely low supply of E550s in FL (especially non-Miami area) and specifically E550 AWD, demand for 4matics IMHO is higher than supply, hence dealers "deal" less on them (at least in my part of FL).

I grew up in South Florida. The E550 may be an exception to the rule, but, for the most part, having AWD is not the same deal breaker in South Florida as it can be in the Snow belt. I do see a lot of 4Matics on the road in Florida, but, I figure it is more likely that most of the customers in South Florida do not care one way or another with a Mercedes. I am always amazed at how many Ford Escapes, and small SUVs I see in South Florida without the AWD otpion.

That's certainly a distinctive/custom vehicle you have there, with a lot of well equipped features it should appeal especially someone not looking for stock. The integrated V1, I like You'll never know until you test the market and advertise it. Selling car is about timing too.

That's almost half of the original price in 2 years or less. Damn these cars loose value real fast.

I do now want to start AWD debate here and yes E-class both 350 and 550 are certainly an "exception to the rule". When I sold my '09 E350 AWD last summer to my local MB dealer, they wanted $3K more for it than otherwise identical RWD '09 they had (they had several RWDs, one AWD only). FYI: AWD on E350 was a free option for 2009. Draw your own conclusion from it.

Also, lets not bring other "smaller" manufacturers here - for their buyers every $1K counts - my cousin preferred an AWD but ended up getting FWD Murano precisely due to extra cost to buy AWD version.

Also, one of the two reasons I traded-in my E550 coupe is because IMHO it was less than an ideal "summer rain" car exactly due to its massive torque and lack of AWD. Just my opinion. Yours can differ and its fine with me.

KBB is always hopeful.
Edmunds.com uses actual transactions price records to determine the market value.

Perhaps part out for extra cash.

A few points yOu might wanna consider. Please don't take any offense.

1) your car is 3 years old.
2) your car has the old engine
3) your car is 1 major and 1 minor facelift behind
4) if dealer is selling for 27k, don't expect more than 25k.
5) as regards 4, just put numbers into kbb and expect trade in fair. Sell the wheels separately.

Good luck.

oh no way could I take offense, you've nailed it! some very good points.....
and I do see the validity
I am hoping that the engine and hockey DRL's will make up for something
and yeah, guess I'll have to sell wheels apart from the car, but the stocks are blackmight have to find just the right buyer, thanx again for the input!

Auto trader, cars.com, and general availability of similar optioned / miles cars will give a good idea.

Already selling the PCar too? Tired of it or just craving the new S enough you gotta do what you gotta do and part with the two?

I was gonna say $45 would be nice, but I underestimated the depreciation of a model (W212) that gets discounted more than any Luxury vehicle I've ever witnessed.

I say ASK $42K and go from there.

Hype, I forgot how loaded your car is. I think the person who is seeking a loaded W212 E550 will be willing to pay. E550s are rare to begin with.

As for the N/A 5.4L Engine, it might even be a positive, since the engine is very reliable, and without forced induction, may do better on the used car market and appeal to people who don't want forced induction/direct injection.

Hate to say this but nobody will pay any extra for any improvements you did to the car. The extra tires and wheels any buyer will "**** on". Everyone will go just by the mileage and the overall condition of the car. Used car condition NEVER is perfect so good is what you have.

Because of this I would take any part off of the car and re-install the original, like the grille and then sell them left over parts separately for a few hundred bucks. You will not get any value for those in a package deal.

The other thing is that the best value for your car you would get trading it in when getting the new ride. Why would you want to even try to sell it to private party? It is very difficult to sell private as these cars can be pricey for repairs and in private market you don't have the CPO behind the car. What would help is if you purchased the extended warranty for it if your milage is not too high for that.

Anyway, if you go with a different ride I will miss your posts in this forum.

Good luck!

yes, well aware of the fact that no one pays for AM parts and mods......
this is a special car for a special new owner......I cannot in good faith trade it to the dealer.......I'll wait if I need to and let my wife drive it.....
and I really don't think the 'best value' is trading it to the dealer......as they try to go as low as they can.........
asking 45 for my 550 and 82 for my TT, those are just starting numbers

thanx for the comments guys

Are the Mandrus wheels/tire the same as the stock staggered setup? I think those are the ones I almost bought for my 2010 E350 sport.

If you need to find them a good home, where they will be loved, cherished and driven ... and if they would fit the 2014 e350 sport that I'm looking at ... let me know
