Very nice selection of options and very close to my list: (https://mbworld.org/forums/garage/20...8-samkimg.html).

The ONE item I would add is the 997 Driver Assistance Package:
DISTRONIC PLUS with Pre-Safe Brake and Steering Assist, Active Blind
Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Pre-Safe Plus with Cross-Traffic
Assist, Pre-Safe Brake with Pedestrian Recognition

I use the DISTRONIC PLUS cruise control every time I drive, and with the Eco Start/Stop commute is now almost completely stress free. It is an insane set of safety systems that I trust to keep me and mine safe. As an aside, the car's Steering Assist feature and I are not quite agreeing upon what "Center of the Lane" means. I've always driven about 8" more to the left than the car believes is the center.

Maybe the Distronic stuff. I don't really care for it but it seems everyone in the press who tries it out is pretty impressed.

Edit: Was beat to the punch...

Yes, I thought about adding it but my commute is very short and during long trips I like to drive the car so that is why I left that option out.

How do you like that active contour massage seat option? I am not sure if that option makes the driver seat like the seats in S class which has air bladders vs just cushioning?

I was also thinking of multi-contour seat, but didn't order. From the forum, it seems some folks expressed concern about its longevity.

It is definitely different from the S-class seat, which is bigger and better padded.

Congrats , very loaded for a P1 , I would choose P2
BTW, you seem not to mention back up camera ,I knew Park sensors were pretty sensible and save you from headaches but once I get Back up cam I must say it's an item I would never pass from now on at all .
If it's an standalone option you should have it added in your list
360 view, split view sounds kinky as well but prices could go sky rocket lol

IMHO, split folding rear seats is an inexpensive but useful feature.

Echo others-get distronic, split seats, and I would add the massaging chair. Hell, what's another $600 on a $60k order???

Thanks for all the responses

Well now there is no longer "P2" and you have to add old P2 options ala carte. For e.g. keyless, Led lighting package etc.

P1 comes with the rear view camera and the parktronic package now adds the surround view.

Debating about fold seats now!

As for the S seats, they are awesome in my '12 S350. But my understanding is that the seats in E will not have air bladders even if you get the contour seats.

I skipped the ventilated seats as well because I never use it on my S.

Grats! What's with the black roof liner? Didn't have that on my list of options on mine. Seems that you have everything you need. The active seats are not as comfy as the padded S or CLS but it presses against you when you turn the car so it feels pretty sporty not to mention massage work.

I got the same luxury model except for the following differences

1. side air bag for back seats (SPC)
2. manual side window shade (SPC)
3. Black mbtex with gray roof liner
4. Normal steering wheel (didn't order wood wheel)
5. Palladium silver exterior
6. No 4matic as we don't have much snow here.

I didn't get that seat in my E, but did for my CLS......really like the side bolstering, but the massage part is pretty weak, IMO,

do other car makers have side bolster seats too?

options
I'm not a fan of the full distronic plus pkg.
I got the blind spot assistance and lane tracking warning as I
felt those were the most important.

ML mirrors were much bigger so blind spot assist seemed good to get.
Lane tracking -- thought would be helpful if I did long road trip.
