i'm in the process of making some new small mods on my 2010 E200...
so far i've got E63 AMG body kit (Taiwan version), Sebring quad exhaust with AMG replica tips, 19" 2-piece forged rims on sumitomo, and B12 bilstein with eibach springs.

last week i wrapped the roof with gloss black vinyl, and repainted my front bumper with gloss black center lips, and i'm getting my rear spoiler carbon-fiber wrapped this weekend.

i'm thinking about taping the rear signal light (the clear part of the rear light assembly) with red clear film - the effect should be somewhat close to the 2014 design. i'm no photoshop expert, here are the before/after photo of the effect i'm trying to get (borrowing photo from vossen website i hope vossen dudes won't get mad)

Looking really good. Where did you get the replica AMG tips? How does your exhaust sound?

 

i'm located in china, and i got the tips here (online website called taobao which is similar to ebay). someone here in the forum is selling similar tips if you go through the recent threads.

i replaced my stock single tip left side exhaust with Sebring quad exhaust. sound is quite subtle actually - probably also because W212 does a good job isolating noise outside of the cabin.

yes i put the badge on myself, but it's not uncommon for non-AMG models with AMG appearance package to have AMG badge and emblem from the factory...

Where did you get this info? I have never heard or seen of this practice in North America or Europe.

When you put pics up of your E200 with AMG badge you are just asking for it. So lame.

North America and Europe don't add up to the entire world...
Truth of the matter is, not only Mercedes does this; BMW and Audi do this too (M package with M badge on the trunk, S-line badge all over). some models are sold in certain regions with packages specifically designed for those markets. I've had a special limited edition E36 M318is briefly as a vacation car in Asia, all stock from the German factory, with M badge in front of 318is. The new W212 E200 avantgarde with factory AMG package sold in Taiwan also gets the AMG badge from the factory. The previous version of C wagon with AMG package sold in China also gets the AMG badge from the factory. So, just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Portland is a beautiful city, but perhaps you should try to get out more.

I put my E200 pics up with AMG badge is my business, I'm not "asking for anything," as you suggested; certainly not asking for your opinion of it, Jeffy. But I respect your comment, because last time I checked, US is still a free country and freedom of speech is protected. I can only hope that the same respect can be shown here, but one can only hope.

actually it depends on where you buy your AMG car.

the price you paid for your AMG car in the states can only get you an entry level E200 here in Asia.

I've yet to see an "s" line or "m" line car with the exact badge that the "real deal" version comes with. How could they justify that. They can't.
