19" Mandrus set up

Hi - first of all - thanks in advance for the help here. I have done a search on many possibilities for a staggered set up, but wanted to ask before I pulled the trigger on some Mandus wheels/ nexen tires I have available to me.

I have a 2011 E350 Blutec, so I don't have to contend with any 4matic related issues.

The size of the rims and tires:

Front - 19*8.5 w/ 245-35-19
Rear - 19*9.5 w/275-30-19

I know that the circumference (rolling) is within .09% of the 245-45-18 that are stock on my car (I plan on using the 18in stock rims for winter tires).

Should I be worried with the above set up? Will there be much difference in ride going from 18 to 19?

Thanks!

I had the same concern but the difference is actually hard to detect.....I think if you made the switch to 19 you'd be pleased

I think the wheels are fine. The nexen tires will be the issue that increases road noise etc vs a more premium tire.

You should be fine. The ride is slightly more rough, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. I think you'll be happy. A set of nice wheels and conservative lowering springs transforms the E sedan to a GREAT looking car. I highly recommend it if you are considering it. Otherwise, enjoy the car as it is. It's awesome either way.

So, sadly, when i decided that yes, i'd get them - they were gone.

I guess not too bad, but as they say - you snooze, you...etc..:roll eyes:

ANyway, perhaps a blessing in disguise - another set of wheels and tires are now available.

klasse rims euromesh style - black with chrome (which i actually wanted) only this time the tire size is: front - 225/45zr18 and back - 265/35zr18. These are not nexen though - Michelin pilot sport AS3 UHP's.

I know the rear is a proper fitment, but the advised front is 245/40/18 which i have on there now.

Does going to the front size pose too much of a problem. Should i consider buying everyone BUT the fronts?

Ah man, I were more knowledgeable about the subject. I understand the basics, but don't know where you start to encounter problems. I know there are some folks around here that are very well versed.

Maybe they will chime in.

Good luck!

Just did a Mandrus set up a few weeks ago. I apologize for the pics but hopefully they'll give you an idea of what to expect. Pretty happy overall. Mandrus Rotec 19x8.5 (ET43), 19x9.5 (ET52). Went with conservative offsets and haven't lowered. Ride is actually better in my opinion but I have the 550 (airmatic). BTW, I went with Toyo Proxes 4 plus in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Not sure how they will be in snow, but I prefer them to the Conti DWS tires I had on the factory 18's.
