Pano roof reopening by itself after closing

Pano roof reopening by itself after closing
This is my 3rd MB & I had this issue with every single one of them
(2007 C, 2011 E Coupe, 2014 E Sedan):
(only) on hot days when I close the roof it sometimes opens (half) again by itself. Usually on the 2nd try it stays closed, though sometimes it takes
up to 3 tries.
but of course it never happened when the car was at the dealer,
so they never knew WHAT to fix..
and it seems I'm the only client with this problem.. on all THREE cars
Anyone else out there with similar issues that knows of a fix...?

Have you tried to reset it? Hold the close button for a few seconds after it is full closed.

I have had a similar issue on my pano roof but only when it was really hot. I figured it was due to the heat and the rubber around the wind deflector being tacky causing the roof to sense resistance to the point where it thought there was an obstruction. Each time it happened I was able to close it by holding the button. I'm thinking that maybe some lubrication on the rubber may solve the issue.

thanks for the input guys, but all those suggestions have been covered indeed.
All my cars had the problem from the very beginning, when they were brand new.
Surely MB must know about this issue? I mean; 3 new cars since 2007, all with same problem.. strange.

I've had this issue precisely 3 times on the same day and never an issue since. I attributed it to heat and expansion of materials adding some resistance.
What are you using to lubricate the slides? seals?

the dealer did it, so no idea what product they used? (butter probably, as it never worked...)
I'll try the 303 protectant, just need to find it here in France 1st.

Do our cars have some sort of auto-open mechanism when the inside of the car gets too hot? I remember reading about a remote control feature that opened the windows and the sunroof when you hold down the unlock button. Could it be related to this 'feature'?
