TPMS reset procedure isn't working
Ok I had to have some repair work done on one of my tires and the guy said he reset the TMPS. I hopped in the car and have been driving around for weeks, doing the reset procedure also myself but only getting a message saying "tire pressure monitor active"....which I then reset again, get a confirmation saying its restarting......but then goes back to the "tire pressure monitor active" message.
I can drive till the cows come home but it never seems to collect a reading for the tires.
Looked all over this board and I can't figure it out. Help anyone?

does seem like an odd issue, they have always reset themselves for me when I had new tires or anything else done that required the adjusting or re-installing of the sensors
good luck OP

How old is your car? I don't see it in your signature. I would assume the one new TPMS is causing the fault, or you have a gremlin in the system. The system is generally pretty bulletproof.

I think the system is searching relentlessly for that new sensor and it is not registering, so no go, thus fail to start.

You know that the TPS sensors work on different frequencies, did you mention that one of them was replaced, perhaps that is the wrench in the works. I believe the factory's TPS's work on frequency 433MhZ. Your problem is definitely the sensor that was replaced, it's messing up the other three.

Ok so I took it back to the guys who put the tires on and they said the driver rear tpms was showing a fault even though they replace the driver passenger....and since that day it didn't work.
I don't know....I don't get this stuff but the guys fixed it. Many thanks to everyone on this board for their helpful comments.....I was going nuts
