2010 E-350 wheels!
Just recently bought a E-350, been reading on here a lot and have learned a ton but have not seen anything on 22" wheels! Will 22"x9" wheels fit with no mods???? I read a lot about the 20" staggered with the tire sizes fitting ect...! Going with an aftermarket wheel with no stagger set, if not just a 20"x8.5" with a 35mm offset, and 235/35/20 tires! I know that will work! Thanks

thats a case of "bigger is not always better". a few members here would say 19 is the perfect size for the 212. ive got 20s and happy with it but reckon anything bigger would look hideous. imo

Yes understood! So on a set of staggered 8.5" and 10" what's the BEST tire size hear a lot of BS talk! What size tires you running on ur car?
235/35/20 front 8.5" rim
275/30/20 rear 10" rim will that work no rubbing?

Is your car a 4matic or rwd? If 4matic, the closest to stock and closest outer diameter is 245/30r20 and 285/25r20. But the 275/30r20's would be better for a rwd car... This has been debated before but the numbers seem to line up best with the first.

Yes 4 matic, so the front is agreed 245/30/20 (done) now on the rear a little confused, 285/25/20 would be best? I see (Beej) running 275/30/20 on a 10.5" wide wouldn't that give me more side wall protection then a 285/25/20? Plus it's a 10" wide rim?
Does is rub under load with people in the back? On a 275/30/20? Btw huge info thanks guys pretty much going off this for a full set of wheels and tires, ASAP!

Factory 245/40r18=25.7
245/30r20=25.8
285/25r20=25.6
275/30r20=26.5
I forget the threshold.. I know people have run the 275 rears, but the closer in outer diameter the better/safer for the drivetrain in an all wheel drive vehicle. I will be going the 285 route on my 4matic when I pull the trigger on 20's

BTW, im not sure if this question is for me but, with my current set up, i dont rub even with full load as my car is not lowered.

Yes, Beej that's was for you! Impressive u can't fit a 10.5" in the back been opening my mind to a whole new world on rims! Back to square one but have the tires on lock! (Thanks guys huge) How much can you play with the offset on the wheel before it becomes a problem? Give or take 5? 40mm rear will work? Standard is 35mm if I even think I know what Iam talking about?

nah, the mudguard (if you can call it that) doesnt help with the water, it just looks more aggressive for me. its barely noticeable but looks good. imo at least.
i did the calipers black initially but had to redo the color after i got the wheels so itll pop up more from behind the wheel design.

thought about silver as well but didnt want my E to look like the E driving next to me. dont get me wrong Dan, silver looks great, i juts wanted to stand out a lil in a subtle way if you know what i mean.

I am not positive, however there are several threads covering wheels for 4matic's and I don't think a Staggard Setup works for them. Yes Rolling diameter as long as its really really really close to the same might be fine (yes someone on the forum posted in one of those threads his came stock with staggered 4 magic) but general consensus was NOT to do staggered. Pretty sure I am remembering that thread right.
I came from a AMG E63 to a 4matic so was reading up on 4matics and read one of the threads on wheels. Just want to make sure you know what you are doing before spending a bunch of money. Hope this helps, at least for you to make sure its ok for staggered.

Here is one of the threads I looked up, IT has all you likely need to know which 20" specifics for you, should answer your question pretty close. Remember though, different Brand Tires, even though same size, have different widths (actual size) and different rolling diameters. You MUST have extremely close to the same front to rear to not mess up the 4matic. I think the w212 is a 45/55 split on power. Hope all this helps here is the thread
