Mileage on Mercedes
I have a 15 mile round trip daily commute which may soon increase to 40 due to a change in jobs. This is making me nervous as my baby (yes, the Benz) will be putting on approximately 10K miles a year after this change.
Should I be worried? I am freaking out about this!
The current mileage on my car is 56K.

2014 E550-sold 😩
10,000-12,000 miles annually is an average amount of miles for most cars. I am not sure you should be saving it for the next owner. Just drive it and enjoy. Buying a second car to commute in defeats the purpose of owning one of these great cars.

All true. I guess spending more time in this car isn't such a bad thing.

2014 E350 also restored: 1969 Camaro convertible SS 1957 Chevy Belair 2dr hardtop
If you need to use it that is what you bought it for. Use and enjoy it. At least you will have the proper mileage each year for the annual oil change

Mileage on Mercedes
Honestly bruh, the car is meant to be drivin, its not meant to sit in your garage and look pretty! drive it and enjoy, the miles don't mean jack compared to the smiles it's gonna put on your face! Happy motoring!

79,500 on mine and going strong
I bought the car to drive, and that I do.
In my book, there is no finer highway cruiser made than the E class (especially the diesel).
Drive that car and enjoy it.
What could be better than having two hours every day in the car with that beautiful hood ornament shining in your face?

So 1500mi/month just in my commute and then I do drive the car probably 250mi a week while i'm 'at work' and then 50-100mi/week at home.

Started at 47k back in June, already at 57k... I don't exactly have a "daily commute" but my commute is 250miles one way and I do it once a week three weeks a month.

True. I do smile every time I look at my car - lol. It's funny, I never thought I would own a Mercedes, but now that I do, I think I can't go back to a Honda/Nissan, etc..I'm ruined.

It's actually the only reason I bought a Mercedes. My opinion since has changed (i've fallen in love and I think i'll always own one now) but originally I bought MB for the unlimited mileage warranty and distronic... you can see why

Just don't tell your wife or girlfriend that you fell in love with your car. I made that mistake.

My wife's E350 certainly will not be a garage queen. Expect it to be driven close to 25k yearly. It may be an expensive commuter car, but it's what my wife chose over a LS460 and if she's happy - so am I. Only problem now is after doing some research on this forum - we may have to go E550 next time. LOL

I put in 37 miles each way to work but the car splits time with the motorcycle on nice days if I don't need to dress up too much.
