Mileage indictator keeps staying on after car is off?

Help!! This must be the 3rd thread I've posted and nobody seems to know anything or be helping me out. Please please please help if you can!

I have noticed my new to me 2010 E350's mileage indicator screen randomly comes on then goes back off, and repeats this process well after the car has been shut off. I do have Keyless Go, and it does this even when the key is nowhere near the car.

Has anybody else had this problem? I'm getting concerned! I've been noticing a bunch of weird flukes with my car even though it checked out good at a private mechanic and the MB dealer in my area!

The only time I've noticed the mileage indicator comes on or stays on after cutting car off and getting out is when I have it in the second off slot. I'm not sure of the exact term but when you press off and then press it again and all the lights on the dash come up. If I leave it there and get out, when I come back to the vehicle often the miles indicator will be on even 20 minutes later.

I experience the same glitch as u described on my 2010 e350 4matic.
I even video it and sent to my Mercedes tech
He wanted to see the vehicle , but am to busy to bring it in for eval.
So far no it has not cause any other problem, I may just leave as is.

Do you have parking sensors? My car will occasionally wake up when I walk past it (without the key around), and I assumed it has to be from the parking sensors.

My car does not have parking sensors.
Watch video and u will see speedometer light up about 20 sec and then turn off for about 2 minute then the cycle start again.
I had to shorten video length so not to bore u members.
Car park in garage and key in the house. Am standing outside by driver door .

My E does exactly the same thing. I don't see this as a problem, my car is smart and it can do what it pleased , as long as it starts when it has to

That's straight up poltergeist stuff right there

I'd be worried about battery drain ... Perhaps other electronic systems are waking up as well when that screen comes on...

Definitely odd. Even in the situation I pointed out it would stay on and not fluctuate like the video above.

I just noticed that my 2010 e550 does the same thing. I walked by my car with the key fob in my pocket and experienced the same issue. I then left my key fob in my house and walked by the car. The same thing happened. This has to be normal. My car doesn't have parking sensors.

I do not have parking sensors, but I do have keyless go. I've now noticed it comes on (just the milage indicator screen, with the mileage displayed) when the key is "near" the vehicle. My room, where I keep my keys, is over the garage where I park my car, and apparently that's close enough for the car to pick up a signal every now and then.

And yes, I did prove this. Put the key in my room with the car off and locked, and it came on 2 times in 20 mins. Put the key at the other end of my house and it never came on.

That's a pretty strong key you have there. Mine is just inside the garage door and I don't get any of those ghost signals. So, seems after 3 threads on the subject you figured it out all by yourself. Kudos
