Slight jerk after stop

Does anyone feel a slight jerk a second or so after coming to a complete stop? This happens intermittently and it almost feels like a car lightly tap me in rear, which is not the case of course. If I put the transmission in neutral, it does not jerk. At first I thought the transmission is downshifting to 1 gear, but the car is in the comfort mode and it should only go down to 2nd gear. Any ideas?

I have yet to feel this happen. I also wonder what it could be.

Check for codes. Valve body would be my guess.

not feeling what you say, but new to this car, and I feel like if I sit at a light for a min, then just as I take my foot off the brake, there is a little jerk, like it's gone out of gear, into neutral, and has to go back into gear to take off. It seems more exaggerated in Sport mode. Maybe another description would be that the brakes are clamped really tight, and a tiny delay from taking my foot off the break to going forward??? Brake pads look new, and rotors seem fine. It's barely there, but just something that felt a tiny bit funny to me.

The car has a 'HOLD" function on the brake. You aren't in that mode are you? It says hold. Next time you are at a light and stopped, press firmly again on the brake and you will see "Hold" pop up on your screen. The car will not move with your foot off of the brake pedal until you step on the gas again. There is a slight delay.

Mine does it. Its appears to be gearing down. Whether from 3 to 2 or 2 to 1. (Eco vs sport)

You can make the car do it with the paddles. For me it all depends on how abruptly i come to a stop. Slow roll, it doesn't. A more aggressive stop and it will.

It's either that or the converter is locking up partially for better acceleration after a stop.....or the car is trying to open my wallet.

C200 here; yes my car has started doing this also, I did a oil change and now it doesnt happen as frequent or is as noticable as it was before some clean fresh oil, but i do notice it still happening intermittendly, my next guess is a change of sparkpugs maybe? There are no misfires and once the car moves it rides smoothly/normally, its just every now and then when coming to a complete stop, there a slight jerk kinda feels like a misfire.

any advice or help on what to look for would help alot.

Has anyone successfully resolved this?
I also get a slight jerk after I come to a full stop in drive.
I also feel like when you release the break in drive, there is a slight delay before the car starts rolling forward, almost like something is sticking.

I'll be doing a transmission service soon to hopefully fix this, the car has just over 80K kms.

I had this issue on my W203. For me, it was the valve body going bad. I connected a code reader and discovered a couple of codes stored (P2203 and P220A). I purchased a new valve body from FCP Euro and replaced...issue resolved. Good luck.

This is a genuine feature!
that's a hold function done by ESP on hills to keep car from rolling backward before pickup.
You shouldn't notice that at all on the flat, right?
