New E350 Owner: 19" Wheel Question

New member here. My 2014 Audi S4 was totaled in a wreck a few weeks ago. I really miss that car but I'm starting to "bond" with my new car, a steel grey 2014 E350 with 3,500 miles for a great price CPO.
I was able to get my 19" Avante Garde M590 wheels from the Audi but the offset and width aren't right. (Et40, 9") .

Therefore I'm looking for new 19" wheels to replace the 18"s. No doubt this has been explored many times, but I can't seem to find a "best" wheel thread on this forum.

So.... what's the preferred 19" tire size, wheel width and offset to get the wheels out to corners and give my E350 the right stance?

Also, anyone here have BBS SR wheels? I would love to see a pic.

Thanks in advance.

I don't recall anyone using the BBS SR rims, but a good place to see what other people have done is the picture thread.

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...re-thread.html

They usually post specs too. There are A LOT of pages to go through so have some spare time before you start.

2014 E350
Thanks for the reply. I've been paging through the picture post. Nice rides! Lots of 20's which is not what I'm looking for. One correction on my post. My old wheels are 9.5 which is why I'm poking out in the front. I called the rep where I got them. He said my 9.5 will fit perfectly out back but I'll need an 8.5 up front so they don't poke. So his recommendation:
19X9.5 ET40 with 285/30s out back
19X8.5 ET35 with 255/35 in front

Sound like a flush fitment? Any experiences here or recommendations?

One benefit of this fitment would be I could reuse my M590s out back....but I'd need to buy new wheels for the front. Hmm...if someone wanted the other pair for the back of their E350?

To be honest, you can actually run (rear) 19x9.5 +35 on a 285/30 tire without any rubbing issue yet flush.

I was in your shoes a few months ago and after some searching etc through the forum, I found the answers were various depending on the size/width of the wheel being run. I opted to stay with 19s vs 20s...Tomorrow I should be receiving 19x8.5s all around in a 42mm offset (Rohana RF2). Many run a 9 or 9.5 in the front with a 35mm offset but at 8.5 width I think I can sneak by with 42mm in the front...The rears should be ok. I'll run a 245/35/19 all around since I have 4matic I wanted to avoid a staggerd fitment despite what some say about it. I mainly did it for rotations. Since the car is a cruiser I was more concerned with tire duration and ride quality

255/35-19 would seem to make more sense for square setup, as its the same tire size the E63 uses on the front, for the speedometer to read correctly and you would get increased traction in dry conditions. The 245/35-19 is smaller than the stock tire in circumference which is already on the small size imo for such a large car.

his recommendations are ok but bear in mind that its more of the offset rather than the width that makes the wheels poke out or not.

I'll run 245s for now and if I need a wider wheel/tire combo I might do so in the future - the width and tire is specifically for MPG/rolling distance/weight reduction. Not worried about traction on a cruiser, I have an 11 sec C4 and a 12 Sec C4 for that type of fun.

Don't forget that the E63s run a wider front tire BUT also have wider fenders to compensate
