"Are you Freakin' Crazy...?"
I woulda said "Stupid" to my neighbor a few houses down, but he's an academic genius; just bordering on hoarder status.
He proudly showed me his brand new Corvette Z06 convertible, along with his wife's fully loaded 1 yr old Mercedes S class (traded in their E class), parked outside his house.
His garage is stuffed with about $500 worth of junk, or in his words "collectibles" or "antiques", so no covered parking for them.
I'm shaking my head trying to understand how they can park $200K worth of brand new cars outside in the hot Texas sun/weather, esp with vert top, while their 2-car garage is full of "stuff"...

If that stuff in their garage is so priceless to them, they should have it in air conditioned storage. But I guess common sense is not common at all.

It's actually pretty common. Lots of people store stuff in their garage and just park outside. I don't have a garage so mine is always parked outside.

Meh. I have a three-car garage with one car parked in it and a 2016 Land Cruiser I bought new stays outside. One bay holds a 5'x8' welding table and another holds my riding lawnmower. The table is too heavy to move, however the mower could be parked under a covered porch. That said, the Cruiser will only be around for a couple years, but the mower should last my lifetime, so it stays inside.
Just because someone doesn't agree with your thought process doesn't make them crazy.

I have a 100k mile 96 Impala SS that needs a whole host of sh*t in our 1 car garage while my wife's 2014 GLK and my 2013 E550 stay in the driveway.
You might call me crazy at first glance, but the garage is small (Impala LITERALLY is up against the back wall to fit it in) and we keep all our yard work stuff in it and it;s always bumping the Impala (which has the typical 90's GM clear coat issues and needs paint anyways), so, it's actually quite logical that go in the garage.

Must admit the ML63 will be outside for another month while I re-arrange the garage and finish off the golf cart project...

We are lucky enough to have an oversized 2 car garage. At one time we had a 1981 Corvette and E350 Wagon, mine, and a C350 Sedan, my wife's; and two lawn tractors.
The car I drove stayed outside, as the Corvette always had a place in the garage.
Now we've retired we are down to one car, so now our garage has tons of room, I have to be careful not to fill it with stuff (junk).
The adage "You have as much stuff as you have room to store it" really holds true unless you are careful and/or ruthless.

People who don't take cares for their car usually leased them. They figured they drive it for 3yr and return it for a new one.
There are 7 MB mostly S550 and ML550 and lots of BMW 3, 5 & 7 series within 150ft from my town house and they all parked outside in the common area. Every time I look at their cars I shake my head because they are so fitly dirty. We don't get a lot of rain in Socal so they figured why wash it.
