Where to buy new leather seat cover for bottom driver, and heater

Hi All,

W212 E350. Torn black leather type=MBTex seam at drivers seat. Heating element not working.

I've searched and it looks like some of you say to get the heating element from here: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...at/2128202498/

Where can I buy the actual leather piece? Any links? And I do not need the cushion if mine is still good, correct?

Thanks, Dave

You say leather. Are you sure it’s not MBtex?

Oh yea. It's that man made leather stuff, right? I read about it before. I'm a newb to MB. I didn't know it was called MBTex. Thanks!

Search “ripped MBtex seat” and you should find some threads that may help you. Some have had luck with dealer replacement and others have sourced the covers. It is not a cheap fix.

It's been mentioned several times. Try this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...at-ripped.html

Best price is probably oediscountparts.com. In this instance, ecs is more like list price.

That site has the seat cover for $250 plus another $25 or so for shipping.

Oediscountparts.com has it for $241.50 and it's free shipping.

Thanks for that info. Am I doing something wrong though? When I go to Oemdiscountparts.com it has me click on their STORE which takes me to their eBay store, but none of the part numbers or key words turn up any results.

From getmercedesparts.com I found the following:$254.80 Cover Front Seat Cus - Mercedes-Benz (212-910-79-13-9D88)

https://www.getmercedesparts.com/oem...89Jnk9JnQ9JmU9
  • Manufacturer: Mercedes-Benz
  • Part Number: 212-910-79-13-9D88
  • Replaces: 212-910-03-46-9D88, 212-910-73-46-9D88

and$124.80 Heater Element - Mercedes-Benz (212-820-22-98)

https://www.getmercedesparts.com/oem...89Jnk9JnQ9JmU9
  • Manufacturer: Mercedes-Benz
  • Part Number: 212-820-22-98
  • Replaces: 212-820-22-98-28

Winter is coming so I want to order this stuff to get the seat heater working (and get the remote start you guys talk about as well)

Thanks for all your help! -Dave

P.S. IDK how to change font size on this forum yet...sorry for the large text.

EDIT: I found them cheaper here so far: https://www.genuinemercedesparts.com/

$230 & $112

.

Sorry about that, slight typo in that, it's oediscountparts.com.

Also I'm not sure if you have the right parts. Usually you include the VIN number and the description of what you're trying to replace in order to get the right part. I think there are multiple seat heating elements, not just one and I'm not sure what the difference is between a seat cover and a cover front seat cushion..

Thanks for the link cetialpha5. Still a little cheaper at genuinemercedesparts.com in case anyone needs to buy as well.

I put my VIN in and according to the site, they are the correct parts. I also crossed ref-d the seat cover and saw pictures online showing that it is the black MBTex that I need. I wonder/hope these things have had different naming over the years. I also saw/read that they have been upgraded to new designs etc.

Thanks again, Dave

your W212, what year is your model?
take it to dealer, and try your luck for a free replacement..!

I'm on ELW when they changed it for me.

I guess it depends how much shipping is to your location. With OEdiscountparts, the shipping is free. You have to pay shipping at the other site so even if they're $16 cheaper, shipping is about $30 to me so it ends up being more.

2013 E350
Hi, I have joined the fray (no pun intended) in looking to fix the tear in my 2013 W212 E350. I see the bulletin about it but don't think my VIN falls within the range (which is stupid because it's obviously ripped the same way in the same place). SO I was also trying to locate the seat cover on OEDiscount, and think I have located it, but the price is "on sale" for $525?? Is that correct now? I found this: https://*******/4Y9wmG and I think it's part number 7. Am I correct in my search? Thanks!

UPDATE: I realized I was selecting the Leather option, not MB-Tex, or as it is listed: "W/O Leather" and priced at $246. I still hope that the bulletin would get it fixed.

I know this is an old post, but can you still provide the correct part number with a VIN? I also need a driver's side bottom seat cover for a 2010 GLK350. It belongs to a friend and I am not sure if it has heated seats. The VIN is WDCGG5GV4AF466232. Thanks.

and wow, per Parts Info, the right front seat bottom is not available, at least in your color. I didn't check the seat backs.

Dear, Left Coast Geek! (and others)
Any chance you could do the same magic for me?
I've been trying to find answers for so long... also need the driver seat lower cover part number
Vin: WDBUF26J76A869014
I believe the upholstery code is 838A and some vin decoders gave me a Sierra Gray description while others gave the AMARETTA/LEATHER/NAPPA/SEMI-ANILINE - GRAY..
My interior is two tone gray with the seats being the lighter gray.
Any info you can give me will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance
