New Part

Is anyone familiar with this part i.e. removed it before or seen it up close before. Short story, I've recently replaced my air compressor and both rear bags. After a few days I'm getting an airmatic malfunction and I'm told this part is the culprit most likely.
However the part I plan on ordering appears to have an additional piece on it but the add on looks removable. I'll attach the new part and what my current part looks like for reference.

Don't forget to replace this part A2123200169 if you haven't already. It's only 12$ and it's usually overlooked but very important in protecting your new compressor.

I was going to wait until I got my airmatic straighten out but for that price it can't hurt since I'll have someone already looking at the car. I figure it's that or I need a new canister.

I just realized you were referring to the activated charcoal canister, I thought you were talking about the airmatic air reservoir. I have seen this issue discussed on the forums a few times, for some the purge control valve replacement fixed it (CEL and no start issue), others had to replace the activated charcoal canister as well as the fuel filler cap gasket. I thing you going the path of least expensive parts is the wisest though.

I just got the car back about an hour ago. To add the mech said he replaced the airmatic hoses on the passenger side because he felt they were shotty. He didn't charge me for those but a whole set is inexpensive from what I've searched.
I'm due for 140k service soon so debating if I can handle letting the dealer handle the EVAP fix. They typically refuse outside parts so that might be a no for me lol. If they'll let it slide I'll bring the part with me and eat labor and the glorified Service B.
I appreciate all the help and will provide any pertinent updates.
