w212 Coolant Temperature sensor woes.. help
Got this code on my 2010 E350, it has 80k on it.
As soon as the car is turned on, radiator fan is running at full speed. And coolant temp gauge reading is not even at 50 C.
my questions is:
1) Where is the location of Coolant Temperature sensor #1
2) Which of these is the correct sensor replacement?

Bonus questions;
Do I need a new fuel cap?
My E350 have been running fine till 3 months ago, CEL light came on. Took it in to our local mechanic.
Initial report was;
1) Cylinder 6 misfire (replace spark plugs)
2) Car coolant temperature reading low ( stuck or lazy thermostat, replace with new one)
3) flush coolant. Change air filters (spark plugs and filters are still original ones)
I didn't feel like paying $1800 for those services, so I did all above services with OEM parts from FCP.
Took about 3-4hrs and everything went smoothly.
The car ran fine for about 3 months and now two new codes popped up.
I love the Mercedes, and cabin is the quietest interior of all 8+ cars I've owned.
But reliability is lacking compared to my 03 Accord EX with 350k miles on it, still going strong
please help.

W212 Coolant Temperature Sensor (clip?)
W212 - I've managed to squeeze my hand behind the engine and find the sensor. I've even manged to remove the wiring clip but I cannot, for the the life of me, wiggle the sensor out free. I can spin it, wiggle it but it will not come out from the block. Is there a clip similar to the W211 that keeps the sensor in place?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Engine temperature sensors are screw into the blocks and you need good wrench to get them out.
I have different engine, but I save any sensor chart I can find on the net, so google it for your engine.
This is what I found very handy for my application.

Not the first time technology surprised me, but that design has to have holding clamp with bolt on it.

W212 E350 Help- can’t remove coolant temp sensor screw
Hello:
I have been trying to remove the screw that holds the temp sensor in place at the rear of the cylinder head. I think my hand is just too big. I even tried with a mirror. Has anyone successfully removed the screw, and if so- how did you do it? Not finding any videos or resources. Thanks

If M276 3.5 NA ( or my M276 3.0 TT too ) It seems you need to remove the plastic pipe no 1, no other way.
