Performance parts that support (post-facelift) MY '14 W212 E550 4Matics?
Hi guys,
Been doing a ton of searching on this forum and others. Why is it so difficult to understand basic bolt-ons that fit my car? Trying to find exhaust systems (or even just sport mufflers) that are compatible. Renntech has a product but it's stated that it's for older, pre-facelift W212's. Don't think Brabus makes one for my car. Any suggestions here for a step up in airflow and sound (without being too bad in the cabin)?
Thanks,
DM

14 550 sedan
I have catted downpipes and a set of mufflers from an e63 on my 14 e550 along with an ecu tune
If you wanted sound then maybe consider a muffler delete with a j pipe for little to no money.
If you just want more power then just get an ecu tune

I'll probably go the route of sport muffler (instead of full exhaust) and the off-the-shelf, intermediate ECU flash from Renntech.
But, the number of high quality performance parts suppliers that support post-facelift, MY '14 W212 E550 are few...
Hoping to hear back from Brabus, Renntech, MEC Design and Meisterschaft.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Yes, not a lot out there in the exhaust department but you can boost the HP by a hundred without much effort. Look at Speed driven in Palatine, Il also.
These are great cars, but not an AMG.

@Key, so I'm not crazy here. Coming from a Subaru WRX ages ago, where there were so many aftermarket options.
I'd like an improved sound or tone about stock exhaust (without being too, too loud), and the power is pretty easy with the Renntech ECU flash.
Just somewhat mindful of the increased power to the transmission et al., and extended warranty I got on my CPO E550...

Understood and no you are not crazy at all. These cars are just not supported in the performance market. Good luck even trying to find a video of a downpipe installation or any performance exhaust. Lol

I think the M278 is a great platform without breaking the bank, which is why I got it myself. I feel like if I had to shell out another 10-15K, wouldn't be worth it. CLS550 is almost equal power WITH tune as a stock 63.
