E200 CGI blueefficiency 2010 W212
Jerking, stalling, rpm and temperature gauge bouncing.

Shdhd
I own a 2010 E200 CGI Blueefficiency W212 having 34,000 kilos. The car recently started to stall , jerk, loss of power, Electric fluctuations(especially when on idle and while the car’s rpm bounces) the dealer inspected my car and said there are two current DTC faults relating to crankshaft sensor and boost pressure sensor and when he checked the fuel pressure he found out that the pressure was lower than the normal range and said i need to replace the delievery unit and car battery and both sensors.
The thing is I’m worried if that’s not the issue and what’s bugging me is the electric fluctuations that happen on idle like the whole interior lights and dash lights and headlights and even the ac speed are fluctuating like raising and lowering while the rpm is bouncing and the temperature gauge is also bouncing with them.
i attached a video and a photo of the codes and i hope if someone can clarify things for me.
i wasn’t able to attach the video soo this is the link.

On my older MB (2001), the crankshaft positioning sensor went out just out or warranty (2006). At first, it would start from cold, but periodically would not restart when hot, requiring a jump start. Eventually it stalled at a traffic light and had to be towed to dealer.

I do not know about the boost sensor issue, but when the crankshaft positioning sensor dies, I can understand many of the symptoms you cite. Think of it as a mechanical pacemaker that feeds info to the ECU. If it can't tell the ECU where the engine is in rotation, then the ECU can't react properly, and may compensate with random adjustments that result in erratic behavior.

Your code display definitely points to a CP Sensor problem. IMO, there's no way around replacing the CP Sensor. Mine cost $600, years ago. You might try that first, to see if all the problems clear, before replacing other parts.

Can't see why the battery or boost sensor is the issue... seems like dealer is "piling-on" with all the other fixes. But I'm no mechanic.

Oddly enough, this is the ONLY engine/tranny related problem I've had so far in my 17 year-old MB. Knock on wood.

Thank you so much DFWdude I’ll try to replace the CP sensor first and then see if the issue is resolved or not.

Please show us where it goes (picture?) as I understand it is accessible from under the car.

Actually the CP sensor is located back of the engine driver side. Look down next to brake reservoir. Is located on the bell housing

Jerking, stalling, rpm

Good afternoon already solved the problem? It's just that I have a problem and no one knows how to solve it. If you can help, I'm very grateful.
