Exclamation Battery display message won't go out

Battery display message won't go out. When I turn on the car it comes on and stays on. Alternator is charging just fine. Just installed a brand new battery today. No idea what's wrong. Manual states it could be a malfunctioning electronic system. Please help. Thanks.

What's the actual voltage of the alternator? Switch to the temperature display with the car off and hit the reset button 3 times. Should display voltage. Should be around 14 volts when driving around. Either the battery you got wasn't fully charged or you have a bad alternator. The voltage regulator could also be bad, but that's part of the alternator. Normally you can just take the car to an auto parts place and they'll do a free charging system test which will test the battery and alternator.

Voltage warning with engine running means bad charging.

Thanks guys. Turned out that my rear SAM module was bad. But I still have a persistent issue which has been hard to diagnose, please help. My car doesn't always start especially after I drive it for a while and turn it off. Have to wait for car to cool down prior to it starting again. I have changed the following;
Battery
Fuel Pump
Crank Sensor
ECT sensor
Rear SAM
CAM sensor magnets ( had issues with misfires)
Spark Plugs
Still issue persists. Any ideas. " No computer codes"

Don't take this wrong but has anyone looked at live scan data during no start issue? I lean towards a fuel delivery problem but just an internet guess. Is the engine cranking but not starting? I'd be interested to see what the fuel pressure looks like with key on engine off at that time. I would also check all injector pulse width and verify operation. One or more bad injectors can cause the hot no start trouble. I believe there's a fuel pressure controller/regulator in the system but I'd look at scan data before buying more parts. Spray cleaning the MAF sensor using correct type cleaner couldn't hurt either.

If it was me... I would take a long look at TSB's related to your model... "Heat soak" is a known failure mode for some of these vehicles (Main ECU Fuel Injection etc is under the hood and TCU is inside the trainy).
"No computer code"... from what scanner: OBD2-basic or an extended bus?

Crank shaft sensor was a excellent guess

Have you replaced the starter yet? If it is bad it can crank the engine but pulls so much amps rest of the car starves with electrical power.

I just replaced my starter. I had a couple long cranks and all cranks were longer than normal. Big improvement with starting with the new starter.

Lightbulb Take No2: No restart... Main batt low??

I overlooked an important clue at first reading: "My car doesn't always start especially after I drive it for a while and turn it off."

Have you looked or measured you actual main battery voltage right before that happens?
Use the "Worskshop menu" aka. "Secret Menu" to confirm your battery was indeed getting charged above 12.6V before you stopped the engine.

You may find that after driving your car daytime (no headlights) for a while at highway speed, the engine computer commands your alternator to DRAIN your battery below 11.x Volts under high Amps...
Please share your findings, Txs.
