Is a loud engine normal for an E350 Sport?
I purchased my 2016 E350 with 30.000 miles 4 months ago, and I have the same noise, coming from the right side of the cabin, throttle-like sound exactly like the one in the video. I'm sure that the mounts are still in good , and still confused about the noise. Sometimes it's bothersome. On higher speeds and RPM, that sound disappears, and the car is quiet more than multiple cars I've driven. Its only occurring from a red-light stop or city driving at lower speeds. Anyone found solution? I took it for inspection when purchased and thr mechanic said everything is fine.
P.S. my previous car was 2010 E350 with 140.000 miles and it didn't sound like that at all. By the way, I test drive a 2013 E350 and sounded loud as this 2016 E350. Is it the new engine for that model with higher torque and horsepower "just" louder? Or is something wrong? Thanks in advance
@ItalianJoe1 is a Benz expert. You should listen to him.

The E350 has more engine noise than I expected, but the bad mounts noise is different.

For example, on the BMW E36 chassis there were a few bushings (trans, fcab, rtab and rsm) considers “weak”.... they lasted 60-100k. All replacement, aftermarket, improved versions each added a bit of NVH. For a performance car, one could argue it was desirable to firm up the “chassis” at the expense of NVH.
The new Audi E-Tron suv I read in reviews has lot of wind and road noises suppression/isolation that will make it one of the quietest car on the road.
Has anyone (Konigstiger maybe?) posted the procedures to replace the engine and transmission mounts? I asked to have all mine checked but they only replaced the engine mounts. There was definitely an issue before because the car shifts noticeably smoother now, especially in the morning.

I have had mine checked a few times, but they've always said they are fine. 42,000 miles. I will have them checked at the 50k service and 60k service.

This sounds like a dumpster fire. Installing new engine mounts for this engine right now is like putting new wipers on a busted windshield. Need to figure out exactly what is going on with the oil before you worry with the mounts.
Also you do need to change the transmission mount. It is cheap and the easiest one. You can't skip it or your issues will not resolve.

It seems there are some differing opinions as to what it is.
To help hone in here is a video of the engine noise -> https://youtu.be/oFiVe7dj8Js
What is that?
I bought it used with 60K miles, if that helps.

My mounts have all be checked by the dealer more than once. I plan to have them checked again at the 50k mile service. 2016 RWD E350 at 44k miles.
