Combo Ownership and Mileage Stats
Since the series is relatively new - there is not Super high mileage yet ... the model is owned by middle aged Drivers ... let’s see who has owned the longest and drives the most each year on average.
This could be fun ... to report;
Car model and year - ours 2011 E 550 4Matic
Owner age - me 62.5 years old
Car owned for - in our case 0.5 years
Mileage at purchase - was 47,740 miles
Current mileage - 54,173 miles
Miles driven since purchase - 6,433 miles
Average mile per year of ownership = 12,867 miles / year
This will be fun to report & observe ... or will disappear into the history of old threads.
I drive a short distance to my office every day - 10 miles round trip, rural & city and 80 miles round trip highway & city driving - once or twice a week. Around town doing errands with wife on weekend.
Looking forward to the first long road trip.
What snow we had this year, was dealt with - no problems.
Lots of variety in driving type - the car handles everything with ease.

Car model and year - 2010 E 350 4Matic
Owner age - me 44 years old
Car owned for - 4 months so far (bought Dec 2018)
Mileage at purchase - was 40,993 miles
Current mileage - 44,001 miles
Miles driven since purchase - 3,008 miles
Average mile per year of ownership = 9 miles / year
i expect this average to go down as I only drive 2 miles each way to the train station for work, 5 days per week (so basically it airs at the train station for about 13hrs per day). For my prior car I averaged 3K miles per year for 10 years. However, since I got this new car I have been driving much more than I normally would, simply b/c it’s fun to drive. So I would expect to level off about 5k per year on average, for the long term.

Just got my W204 and I absolutely LOVE this car! I am a driver and I love to drive. I decided that I wanted a car that was a joy to drive rather than a car to get me from here to there. The Germans make the best drivers cars. I came from a 2014 Ford Fusion SE (very well equipped and a nice, good, solid all around car) but needed more. With the Dynamic Sport Package this car is fun to drive. It has performance, great handling, and is still super comfortable, especially with the very well bolstered sport seats. I'm a slightly bugger guy, 6' and 215 lbs and the seats feel like they are hugging you and hold me very well. I do drive a lot. I bought my Fusion with 30,000 miles on it and after 2 years and 2 weeks, it had 89,000 miles on it when I sold it for the Mercedes. The Mercedes will also get a lot of miles but probably not quite as much as I now work from home 3 days a week and only commute to the office (80 miles round trip) two days a week. But many trips to San Diego per year and a couple drives to Denver per year. I am really looking forward to my first road trip with this car to see how she does, though I'm pretty confident she'll do great and be very comfortable.

Nothing beyond regular maintenance (oil/filter every 10k and bought the 3 service package from MB for the required 60, 70 & 80k maintenance) except that I had the auxiliary battery replaced when it died and the transmission control unit (tcu) reprogrammed to fix the eco related startup delay/lurch. Both issues were fixed under warranty. However, the dealer that sold me the car missed a pin hole crack on the inside of one of the full LED headlights which caused excessive condensation leading that lamp to fail. I had him replace the broken headlight at his cost (my dealer quoted $4,200 to replace that one headlight and related components). Went through 2 or 3 sets of tires and one AMG wheel that cracked on a NY pot hole. I also bought an extended warranty but haven't used it yet. Been a great car so far.

Just in case your wondering, a Nov 2018 statistic ...
What's the National Average MilesDriven Per Year? According to United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, Americans now drive an average of 13,476 miles per year. That's the most in history.
Another source;
As a rule of thumb, the average car will rack up 20,000 km (12,427 miles) per year — the distance manufacturers use to determine standard warranty coverage.

2012 E550 4matic sedan
39 yrs old
Purchased Nov 2015 with 67K miles when I got it home from TX
Current: 93K miles
Average < 8K mi/yr
Maintenance:
4 tires replaced (2 pre-maturely due to road hazard)
all 4 brake pads + rotors replaced due to shimmy when stopping - DIY
spark plugs - just because I didn't know if it had been done - DIY
2 or 3 oil changes, sticking with the built-in reminder for 10K interval service A/B and self-reset - DIY
Cabin filter once - part of "service B" DIY
Main battery replaced (in the Advance Auto parking lot)
Changed wiper blades once - Bosch OEM type
Topped off coolant a couple of times due to low warning - bought OEM MB fluid
Switched to K&N air filters, time to clean them soon
Due for transmission service which I have been putting off, because I don't know if it was done before I bought the car.
I have all the equipment and fluid to flush the brake system sitting in my garage, just need time, it's part of a "service B".
I have run 1/4 mile at 12.8 sec, and dyno run showing 396hp / 478tq to 4 wheels when the car had +80K miles on the clock.
Only thing on the car that does not work properly is the center volume knob on the radio. I just use the steering wheel control for volume.

Over the course of 2 years period I had to change the front struts for suspension. They took a couple of weeks.
Some kid backed into my vehicle at stop sign - 1.5 months in collision center for bumper/headlight(LED).
Cameras go blank some times - 3 visits a week time each. (COMAND and rear cameras replaced under ELW)
main issue: Tranny - jerkiness in 1st gear - K1 Clutch pack replaced - 1 month..

Car model and year - 2010 E 550 4Matic
Owner age - 24
Car owned for - 2 months (May 2019)
Mileage at purchase - was 60,994
Current mileage - 65,xxx
Miles driven since purchase - 5,000
Average mile per year of ownership = will probably be about 12k since its my daily
Absolutely love this car, calcite white w/ sport body kit and 19 inch black wheels looks so aggressive. I also love getting on it past people who think it's just a little v6 mercedes, not this one! I too am one that loves to drive aimlessly (just to hear that nice V8 rumble due to muffler delete).

Mine had over 100k when I bought it, but it's just intended as a "fun" car for me and I kept my daily. I will never own another daily that has more than 4 cylinders unless I make more than 200k a year. Even if I end up giving my current daily to my girlfriend I'll buy another 4-banger soon thereafter. I've had my E550 for about 9 months and I've put something around 3k miles on it.

As for those high mileage cars, you can get an MB high mileage badge once you hit 155k (250km). They have them for up to a million kilometers and a million miles too.

My R Class was totaled in early Feb, so this beast was her replacement. I drove my rental from Austin to Lafayette on Valentine's Day and brought her home...after stopping by my favorite exhaust shop in Houston, that is! Got a tune a week later and now I drive her every day, slaying as many Camaros, Mustangs and Corvettes as I can(only in Mexico, of course).

I don't worry about the gas that much, rather just have the power of a 6, haven't driven a 4 banger in over 20 years and the last one was a turbo 4. I used to drive a beater too, but then decided that life's too short to do that especially when you can pick up used MB's in the 15-20k range or less.

Nikobimmer could be up to 184,000 miles and likely to stay ahead at the annual rate.
Good for you guys!
For my 2011 E550 - I am coming up to 60,000 miles ... enjoying the drive every day.
