DIY Oil Change on 2016 E 350
Has anyone performed their own oil change on there E 350? How many quarts did you use? The info I gat on the net is confusing and has different capacities. some say 6.7qts. some say 8.0-8.5 qts. and one sez 7 qtrs. I would like to get the OEM capacity.

The oil capacity varies by vehicle.

From page 342 of your owner's manual...

"Filling capacities
The following values refer to an oil change
including the oil filter.

Model Capacity
AMG vehicles 9.0 US qt (8.5 l)
E 550 4MATIC 8.5 US qt (8.0 l)
All other models 6.9 US qt (6.5 l)"

My standard E350 takes 6.9 qts. Oil changes are a snap if you have a "topsider" oil extraction vacuum. Pump out the oil through the dipstick tube, and then change the filter on top of the engine. All can be done standing upright throughout.

Depending on whether you do use extract or drain. I drained from the oil plug and I got about 8 us qt on my 2011 e350 4matic.

I drained out the bottom on the '15, and then stuck my endoscope with a curved neck into the drain hole. Every drop was drained.

I normally get 8 quarts from the dealer, i also use normal drain process.

2010 E550, 273 Engine: 2012 S550, 278 Engine
2010 E550. Vacuum out thru dip stick tube. 9 gt comes out and I fill with 9 qt Mobil 1 0W-40. Every 5000 miles.

On my 15 the first time i used an extractor but i just recently drained from the bottom and I used 7 quarts .The only time consuming thing is removing the 2 covers underneath but other than that its pretty much straight froward
