W212 Cam Sensor part number

All of them is the best way.
Luck runs out when engine oil penetrates ECU wiring harness: $10,000 repair job.

Plastic CPS sensors are well worth replacing with pigtails extensions.

It's the one closest to the battery side.
Once oil is found in the harness the repair is no longer just a new sensor that may still read same error.
Ppl report the latest new CPS part number lasting less than a year. It may be fixed temporarily.
The real fix is to remove extreme engine heat with better cooling oil.

Noticed a slight gloss on the connectors of both sensors indicating some oil seepage. I also unplugged and inspected the ECU and thankfully it was dry as a bone. Just purchased 4 OEM MB sensors with the green o-rings from a local parts distributor.
Hopefully this will clear the CEL as I noticed they come up as permanent codes and wouldn't go away when I tried to clear them last night. Do you know how long/how many miles it will take to learn/recognize a fix for permanent codes?
Fixing it well is the most important thing to do ...
Use pigtails to preserve your previous oil-free harness.
