Did Mercedes fix the Oil in Engine Harness for 2016 MY
I’m a current Lexus Gs350 owner looking to buy a low mileage 2016 E350. I have concluded that this will be a reliable car as the kinks in the W212 have been worked out for 2016. However, I read about the oil in engine harness problem for the M276 engine. This is concerning as I intend to put close to 100-150 miles a day on this vehicle and I don’t want to have any costly repairs. Did Mercedes use updated parts for MY 2016 and resolve this issue or is it still prevalent?

That said, buy the harnesses for $44 and don't worry about it. The W212, particularly the 2015-2016s, are extremely reliable for any German luxury car.

Part # 2711500156 from FCPEuro
The other 6 connectors (4 cam position sensors and 2 cam electromagnets) require varying amounts of disassembly to access.
