Reading that the staggered wheel size tires have lower load ratings, I'm curious if those cars have derated GVWR too.... SO
please take pics of the driver door and gas door stickers, and post them here along with what year/version your W212 is...
I'll start with my 2016 E350 4matic wagon 'luxury' with the 17's. I note this wagon has less payload than my 1994 E320 wagon, that had 1200 lbs.

so I just checked OUR 1994 E320 wagon, and its got the same numbers as bmwpower's... 4900 lb GVWR and 1050 lbs payload. I just realized, the 1200 lb payload was my VOLVO 740 wagon but I'm afraid I don't remember what its GVWR was, although I know it was a fair bit lighter than the 94 Benz.
