Aftermarket wheels wont fit hits strut

Hey guys,
I am brand new to this forum so I appreciate you guys reading this. I recently bought a 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 Base Sedan 4D Flex and it came with 17' wheels and tires. I want to upgrade these to a 20' setup.

When attempting to install this setup the wheel is hitting the struts. Now I realize I am not the only person who has attempted this on this vehicle but I was wondering if I need to change my suspension in order to make this fit. If so, what recommendations do you have on what exactly to buy and where to go to get this installed. I am sure taking this to a dealership would be insanely pricey but I really don't want to send these wheels back or be stuck with a 17' stock setup. Please help!

Depending on where it’s contacting and if you have enough room to the fender edge/opening... a spacer and longer bolts will be the easiest and cheapest.

Besides the obvious of selling the wheels and getting a properly fitting set.

Take them back to whoever you bought them from for a proper offset fitment. They sold you the wrong wheels/offset for your car. It’s not that difficult to calculate a proper fitment in 18,19, or 20’s.

Both the gentlemen above gave you good advice, shock or strut, thy don't fit, so it's spacers and longer lug bolts or different offset wheels. Good luck!

a strut (short for mcpherson strut) is a type of shock absorber. we get what you meant.

if your 2014 came with 17's, odds are its the 'luxury' version with the 'comfort direct control' suspension, as the 'sports' 2014-2018 all came with 18" wheels, lowered stiffer suspension, and AMG style front and rear lower trim bits.

20" wheels are going to be very harsh on city streets, expansion cracks, potholes, etc, unless your roads are all race track smooth. your 17's are probably 245/45R17, and I believe 255/35-19 is the standard size 19, I'm not even sure how low a profile you would have to use to fit 20's on there, but there will be almost no sidewall.
