2016 e350 4matic Wagon
Sedan vs Wagon Sport Suspension

Sorry if this is a repeat question here, but are the Sedan and Wagon Struts interchangable between the two? I have a 2016 e350 4matic Wagon with Sport Suspension, that I have installed H&R coils on, but I am not entirely happy with the ride quality. I see there are several coilover options for the front of a sedan, but nothing wagon specific. Can these be installed on a wagon?

Thanks!
B

Well, not any responses here, but I think I gathered enough information from the MB part websites to move forward. Going to order a KW V3 coil over set for the sedan, in hopes that it all lines up properly. I know the rear spring and perch will not be used as I have the rear air suspension. Hoping this works!

For about 50 years all MB wagons do have adjustable rear suspension.
With airmatic option sedans have adjustable suspension as well, but as far as I know it is different suspension than on wagon.

I would imagine the attachment points (strut tower and knuckle) are identical... what may differ from an OE perspective is spring rate as the wagon may have a higher GVWR. Obviously, the rear coil-over setup wouldn't work on the wagon due to self-leveling rear axle (EHNR) or "Airmatic"-lite.

Suspension attachment points are all I am concerned about. Springs can be changed to a higher rate if necessary, and the KW V3 have both rebound and compression adjustment. They are 4-6 weeks out, so we shall see after the new year.

the rear-only airmatic on the E350 wagons is strictly self leveling, and not otherwise adjustable. the optional airmatic on the V8's and such is a fully adjustable suspension with comfort, sport, etc modes.

my experiences test driving a bunch of facelift W212 E350 prior to buying ours is that the wagons ride smoother than the sedans, I would place it in this order from harshest to smoothest. Note I never drove any full airmatic cars, as my wife absolutely did not want a high performance V8 model.

1) sport sedan w/ 18" wheels
2) luxury sedan w/ ? wheels
3) sport wagon w/ 18" wheels
4) luxury wagon w/ 17" wheels (what we bought)

I think "fully adjustable" is not proper description here. When you have 3 settings for vehicle height, you can't adjust it side to side or front to rear.
In times when cars have very powerful lights, who can create accidents when misaligned, having vehicle at proper level becomes critical .

its more than just ride height, its also the damping factor, sport mode is not only lower, but also stiffer than comfort mode, etc etc.
