I believe the above are the details for my OEM 19 inches. Be prepared for a crashy ride over pot holes
The tyre size for the rears should be 275/30/19
I’m not sure if I’m doing this right, replying.
Thanks for the response and the tip on ride quality when going to 19’s. I’m dreading it but I was thinking 20’s so I hope I’ll be able to live with it.
I don’t like the style of the rim you posted but again thank you.
crashy ride that trashes your expensive new rims when you hit pot holes. IMHO, /35 series tires belong on a race track, not city streets. We had to search long and hard for a 212 with 17s instead of the more common 18s
I bet you never hit any pot hole with your W212. I think that will be good experiment if 18" rim definitely can wreck the rim or damaged to front drive shaft if you had 4matic I would like to know how the impact of pot hole to 19" or 20" rim. Read below post before you decide to look cool rim but is not healthy to the car

As someone who has wrestled with many a bent rim (AMG 18’s), my advice is to be cautious here. It’s usually the front that gets bent due to engine weight and suspension characteristics. I’m also thinking it has something to do with the AMG brand as well, as they seem to be the dominate ones that we all complain about being bent.
If you’re dead set on new rims, then I’d maybe consider a non-AMG wheel that you like, and I certainly wouldn’t go much skinnier on the sidewall size.
Yes, great looking car, I actually have bent 3 eight spoke wheels on my luxury, two at one time and have only bent my 18" AMG's once in 8-9 years. But I would also advise you not to go from 18 to 19 not just from a ride standpoint, but inevitably you will bend one, especially a 19 or 20, no matter if their cast or forged or roto-forged, ask Key08 or S-Prihadi for a picture, they both have 600 dollar wheels.
that and as the wheel size goes up, so does the tire price. and high performance /35 tires likely get much less mileage, even assuming they have the correct "XL" load factor for these heavy cars, you'll be changing more expensive tires more frequently
I have 19" wheels on my Mazda from the factory and have zero issues with anything you guys are dealing with. Mind you I am ALWAYS watching the road and avoid all potholes. I had 18's on my W124 and again zero issues but back then I was the same. Constantly watching not only cars but the road ahead.

Well I have 48" rims on my Kubota M7 4x4 tractor, haven't bent one either. Ha Ha!
Seriously; '91 190E, '93 S500,'97 S500, '99 SL500, '01 SLK320,'02 E320, '03 S500, '07 S550, never bent a wheel, '12 E350 bent three eight spokes, '13 E350 Bent one AMG. I believe it's the offset and maybe some bad Chech wheels, I believe my '03 and '07 wheels were made in Poland and I don't remember the older ones. I ride a Ducati, I believe I watch the road like a bike rider most of the time, sometimes though, **** Happens... Damn I love the blue on that Mustang.
No but I jumped a curb a couple days after I bought it and bent the front rims. This was total driver error, I would have bent 15's. It is not a 4matic so I don't have that to worry about. I just sold a 2014 Maxima SE Sport that rolled 245/40/19's stock. It's a much lighter car obviously but defiantly not a Merc in ride quality. I slightly bent one rim once, I just view it as the cost of doing business lol.

To the OP - I use this site when trying to determine offsets/tire sizes/etc. It was invaluable when trying to determine the right wheels for my GLC43. I'm setting up my S212 for 19's as well. Obviously, in order to get the numbers right you have to measure your allowable fender to wheel/tire OEM gap to make all the numbers work correctly. A little leg work goes a long way. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=30mm&sr=0mm
