DIY Caliper Painting
I started with wire brushing the entire caliper down, followed by brake cleaner and a wipe down. We then taped and masked everything off, and started with three coats of primer with about 5 minutes in between each coat (two light, one medium spray). Then, we followed that with 3 coats of caliper paint, and then three coats of clear. Then we waited for everything to dry, took off the tape and trashbags, reinstalled the OEM Mercedes caliper faceplate, and put the wheel back on.
I was torn between yellow and blu cepheus (lamborghini color, this one is absolutely amazing), but I couldn't find any stores that had the type of blue that I wanted in stock. I've got black center caps and tire stems coming Monday, it'll complete the look then. Definitely would recommend for DIY, just be prepared to spend some time masking everything off!
