Timing chain starting to rattle at start up
Greetings to all
2013 E350 - Engine number 276952 30 210062
Could anyone recommend a good independent shop in NOVA that you would highly recommend to do the Check valves and Tensionsers.
Would prefer to avoid the stealerships..
Thank you in advance

Don't be surprised if the shop tells you: both Intake VVT gears are history but do question "all four" VVT being bad though.
Replacing the tensioners brings the technician to align engine timing marks and witness the VVT skipping forward if unlocked... ie. bad VVT.
This is inevitable wear with this setup. You can delay it with good engine oil but not avoid it.
