Doing the front brakes on my 2014 E63S. Got some Bosch pads from FCPEuro. They fit, but they don't have the two cylindrical knobs attached with rivets to the inside of the pad like the OEM pads have. What are these for and do I really need them?
Probably just the rivets holding on the metal backer or how the pads are attached to the cast plate. Do ya have a pic? Different companies do it different ways, as long as proper part and fit properly wouldnt worry about it.
I tried seeing what pads you could be talking about with the cylindrical knobs and came across some Brembo for an E 63 S. Also on FCP they have some EBC Yellowstuff pads. They say its for the E63 AMG Mercedes FMSI D1291. Does that sound like something you have? then is says something about for cars with code B06 or U70.
If they do not look like the ones installed on your car then I would not use them. I would look for exact replacements.
