Lowering Springs
recently lowered my W212 E350 CDI on H&R springs and as soon as I picked the car up it has a popping noise when you turn the wheel at parking speeds. New Top Mounts/Bearings were put on also. I have since taken them apart and replaced the Shims also and put different Top Mounts/Bearing make on but still the noise persists. This weekend I have changed the Shocks for new ones as the left side had blown and also put a 25mm drop Spring on instead of the 35mm H&R but again the noise continues. The Springs are all seated where they should be I just can’t work out why it is still popping on Turning. The noise sounds like it is coming from the top of the strut/bearings…. Any ideas? Love the way it looks don’t really want to have to admit defeat and put it back to stock 😩

I advice you to not do it, you have upset your suspension geometry A LOT by lowering down by 25mm.

are they straight with rack?
are they at 40° angle with rack?
No toe adjustment can fix that setup.
Steering rack being far away from a neutral position is troublesome with suspension travel.
Hence zero travel fixed-suspensions holds toe angle.
