W212 Fuel system issues

I had an issue some months back that required me changing my fuel pump.
since then i’ve had to buy new fuel pumps twice again.

the issue is the engine shuts off while running and refuses to start after using the pump for like 2-3 weeks. When it happens i swap the pump and the car runs again until the issue repeats. So its like i’m swapping between the same pumps right now.

the issue happened again today, but this time before swapping pumps i had someone scan the car for errors and this was found:

After swapping the pump again, the car runs fine (until it happens again i’m sure)

i want to understand before buying a third pump.
Could this be solely a wiring issue like this scan says or would this errors also show up if both fuel pumps I’m swapping between are not good

side note: i also have another issue (although this has been happening before i ever had to change pumps so i doubt its related to this current issue, but it may be related to one of the error codes)

when the fuel level gets to reserve (from the instrument cluster) the car goes off and i have to refuel. The car doesn’t take fuel from the driver side tank.
I’ve opened it up one time it happened and the passenger-side tank was dry while the driver-side tank was full.
when fueling the car also, the fuel keeps gushing back out.

it looks like you're fueling problems keeps coming back because replacing the fuel pump does not solve this.

Your fault collection makes it clear that your low pressure sensor circuit is having issues.
This failure is not a common occurrence.

The tank staying half-full on driver side is likely caused by a disconnected hose during the initial tank service. Inspect & reconnect.

Please change your fuel filter, it will be old enough and dirty enough to block your fuel pump fuel flow.
LEFT side of rear seat
The fuel pressure sensor is at the fuel filter
The fuel filter also has the venturi effect fuel transfer capability, hence the parts catalog called it "pump" too.
Left side ( fuel filter ) transfer fuel to RIGHT side where the fuel pump is. So RIGHT side will always be more full than left side.

That sounds like the venturi effect fuel transfer failed or some hose came loose as Cali pointed out.

This is how the fuel pump and fuel filter works : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...er-change.html

Good luck.......

Wow this is highly unusual. Are you using OEM fuel pump or other aftermarket names? Have you considered replacing fuel pump control module?

SHORTCUT TO PUMP

it may just be that he is pumping air with tank level reported as half-full.
One side full + other empty = half Qty.

The sadle tank pump should be fixed up first.

Pressure sensor may be ok reporting a true low-pressure when pump sucks air on seemingly half-full tank.

If fuel filter and fuel pump is MB genuine, you may have wiring isssue from N118 fuel computer to fuel pump or from power supply to N118 or N118 is going bad.
Your fuel pump is already a 3 phase pump or still normal pump ?
