2014 E350 wagon rear camber

Put new tires on the wife’s wagon yesterday. Got the what seems to be fairly common surprise of my inner rears being worn completely down. Looking at the car the rear tires definitely lean in.

Quick search seems to reveal there is no rear camber adjustment. I see there are aftermarket upgrades to address this.

one option seems to be replacing the upper arm with an adjustable one. The other option seems to be replacing the lower bushing with an adjustable setup. Is one better than the other?

K-Mac bushing kit for the win here. Even with my wagon lowered over two inches in the back I get great tire wear. Their website is a little clunky, but solid product.

There is rear camber adjustment ...
When I replaced the air bellows a few years back, I ended up removing the lower control (spring) arm bolts in order to gain more access to remove the bags.
As I recall the bolt holes are a bit slotted enough that allows the camber to be adjusted. Even the WIS instructs to raise wheel carrier until the rear axle shaft is roughly horizontal, then tighten all the bolted connections which have been screwed on loosely.

thanks for some reason when i typed this the name just escaped me. K mac is the one i was looking at.

I'm glad someone else said that about the website! it is a little confusing to me.

i sent them an email trying to confirm the correct part number kit for my wagon. i believe the correct kit for me is 502126K.

I think the issue is lack of toe and lack of camber adjustment that really wrecks the tires, especially on a lowered vehicle.

Do you all have kmac on the front as well or just rear? My rear wear isn't nearly as bad as my fronts so I am thing about buying the kmac kit for the front.

I do not have on Front as it is not needed as my tire wear is about perfect so and front end alignment is within spec...

But if I have issues later in cars life; I will buy the front-end kit.

Ok Mac kit has finally arrived. Going to tackle it tomorrow.

couple dumb questions-

1- if I don’t have any issues with toe, is it ok to skip installing those? I’m really only after the extra camber adjustment.

2- what’s a good camber setting for the rear post install?

add the toe kit while you are under there.
when they adjust camber it can change the toe a bit due to geometry of suspension points

well i got the rear camber bushings installed Friday. what a pain. our car spent a few winters in ohio and PA, so the bolts were seized in the bushing. also cant use the provided tool if the bolts are still in. luckily i had a ball joint press i was able to use to press out the bushing.

i didn't get the addl toe bushings in, mainly because i ran out of time, and i assume all of the bolts are seized and i will need new ones, which i didnt have.

i did the alignment myself sunday and i set my rear camber to about -1.

What bushing would that be, the inner spring control arm bushing?

If you didnt get the bolt out how did the control arm come off?

If we are talking about the spring control arms I had to remove/install mine twice when replacing the springs. Did it twice because I installed the wrong size upper shim back in and the rear was sitting too high. After removing the nut I used my impact wrench and the bolts reversed themselves right out.

What specific ball joint press did you use? The MB tools are expensive. I bought the MB tool for outer bushing in the wheel carrier and it was around $200.
