Can't figure out what fuel filter for 2014 W212 3.5

Been having some fuel related CELs lately and at 200k I figured I might as well replace the fuel filter and eliminate that as a possibility. I ordered the only one available for my car, from. FCPEuro. It arrived today and it doesn't match anything I have in my car, and not only that, the one that came in the mail matches every single website and YouTube video I can find, but it won't work in my car. Please help.

3 pics attached, the new FCPEuro one, a2214701890. I popped both cover off my fuel tank, the blue fuel pump is part number a2184700394. On the driver's side is part number a2184700694. I mean, right off the bat my car's pump and sender are held in by a locking and not bolts. The large 7-pin plug seems to be a match but the filter I was sent has a 3-pin hookup on the top and while there is a 3-pin plug on top of my pump it seems to just be a connector and bypasses the pump entirely.

What am I missing here? I have searched for part numbers as well as 2013 models and c-class models and nothing seems to match up except a complete fuel pump assembly for $400.

not fuel related

I've worked on the 3-phase pump on passenger side (Bank1 side) of MY'14 but never on it's actual fuel filter...driver side?

Both sides of sadle-tank have a level sender circuit.

I don't recall which side is the fuel pressure sensor located (after filter?). It home runs into the nearby module that powers the pump.

ABOVE ALL...
When issues are not shared by both banks: it's not caused by common fuel supply.

The fuel rails have a crossover line to equalize pressure between them, no? It's not two completely separate fuel systems once the lines leave the tank?

It is far far far easier to just replace the fuel pump assembly. Filter included. There has to be a value for your time...and knowing that your car will not blow up in the garage when you least expect it.

Those stickers mounted on the devices show the part number of each one. I'm in the middle of replacing those myself.

TROUBLESHOOTING FUEL SUPPLY

once the low pressure fuel line leaves the tank it goes to supply your single High Pressure Fuel Pump that then feeds all 6 piezo injectors from single fuel rail under 150.Bars pressure.

There are only two distinct fuel pressures: low/high.

Your Bk1+ Bk2 both share exact same fuel supply.

Your vin is helpful when searching for parts. Know which part# you need and then search for it online. FCP is not the best at listing parts that will fit your car since there are numerous variations. Example mine is a PZEV engine yet FCP only lists non-PZEV fuel pumps for my car, i have to enter in the part# on the website to even find the correct one.

Seems you looked and located the part #'s in your car which is what I usually do to make sure im ordering the correct part.

Theres only one fuel line that leaves the fuel tank and goes to the engine.

Without knowing your specific vin# I just picked a random W212 with M276 engine. I assume you have the M276 since there is mention of a HPFP. Diagrams below for reference. Im unsure what the question even is.

Well, I don't think this is the issue anyway so I'm just going to send it back. As far as the stickers, yes I know the part numbers are on them. That's the part number for the whole fuel pump, not the filter.

It was three or four years ago I was looking at replacing my fuel filters. It did not take me long to realize that replacing the entire pump was the solution at hand

Why waste time going to FCP Euro when MB genuine fuel filter at official MB dealer is available and cheap ?

https://www.mbpartsexpress.com/oem-p...IFJlc3VsdHM%3D
As long as your car is US car, enter your VIN and they will match it at the final check out. They DO NOT export out of USA.

This is 0994 and not 0694
FCP Euro more expensive : https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...mer-2184700994
In 2022 I bought from FCP Euro, because they export out of USA and cheaper than MB Indonesia even shipped + taxed, back in 2022.

Your fuel filter is very similar to mine

These are the cars using our exact same fuel filter P/N , but you must verify the VIN.

.

Mine, back in 2022

.

.Mine is a 0994 , yours 0694 ending

.

.

Happy shopping.............
