Yes it is.

I just put an order down for a fully loaded 2017 CLS550

Classic V8 403 hp 444 lb ft torque

The V6 can chew on that all day long.

Outstanding! I have had mine for a week now and I can't stop driving it! It is the most fun I have had in many, many years. Luxury and sport in an absolutely beautiful package. The perfect car if you do not really need a big back seat.

I live in the country and there are beautiful, winding roads that have no pot holes (and no police!). Every day now for a week I have taken it out, lowered the suspension, put it in sport mode and let her fly. The sound is great as I said before, and that 9 speed tranny is seamless and perfectly suited to this car. It even helps me get 21 miles to the gallon and the way I have driven it that is amazing. You don't need to red line every gear and that is probably the only thing to worry about until the motor is broken in, otherwise, drive it like you stole it. Have fun!
