Internet Radio or Tunein Radio

Internet Radio or Tunein Radio
Hi, For some reason, i can hardly ever, if at all, get my e300 p3 to connect to the internet radio. If i use my iphone or ipad in the car, it connects to tunein radio uneventfully.
Am I missing some setting or adjustment that should be made for it connect?

Oh, it's better to go to the internet radio from the Radio menu rather than through the MB Apps.

I think TuneIn radio has a limited trial period as part of the MBrace entertainment package and if you are past that period you won't be able to connect strictly using your vehicle and no other device you might have an ID and login for. Mine says unable to connect but nothing about being past the trial period (which I am). Haven't tried using my IPhone for it and using the WiFi hotspot to my phone to connect.

My car is still in the trial period for all things that require subscribing to. I've also given mbrace a CC number to start subscriptions after the trials.
My car was in the dealer for FOUR days last week while they tried at least 4 different downloads from MB. None of them made a bit of difference. WiFi hotspot and Tunein were working when the car was first delivered. What could have changed??
Frankly, getting a little bit irritated at MB. Not because either of those things are necessary to driving, but because they're SUPPOSED to work... so MB FIX the BLANK problems!

Service advisor and service manager at my dealer finally persisted in getting my wifi hotspot and tunein radio working. It took working with MB engineers directly to get a software fix specifically for my car but everything is now working!!

I wasn't impressed with TuneIn to begin with, and it doesn't really work in my car either. I can use it from my iPhone and I don't use it that way either.

In the COMAND 5*5 using TuneIN indeed requires use of the built-in data connection, that is 1 month for free, but then requires a sybscription. Real pity, because in my previous car with COMAND 5*2 it could also work via bluetooth tethering using your existing data plan on your smartphone. Bad move of MB (like more things in this 5*5).
