Nice! I ordered mine with the same options, but in Selenite Grey.

My car is sitting in Baltimore as well. 2018 E43 AMG Hyacinth red with P3, pano roof and carbon fiber and Burmiester high end 3d surround . Build date was July 7th. This waiting is frustrating. Dealer has me in loaner car. I was told that the wait is because the engine has not been certifed from Germany with the US goverment. Then I was told that MBUSA has changed their model release from early August to the end of August.

That info is incorrect. The car was certified in Feb when the E43 was introduced. They are giving me a song and dance also on my cars.

Whenever I call my dealer, he always says that they have no information. Very frustrating. I actually ordered a 2017 back in Feb and a few months later they told me that they had to cancel and then transfer my order to a 2018. now these delays!

Its the wireless Charger?!!

Still waiting on my E43...dealer sent me a new window sticker which showed

CK3 Credit 897 NFC Charging Credit -$200

So maybe this has been the issue? They can't get the wireless charging to work?

I called MB head office today in Toronto and spoke to the customer relations manager. She told me the cars are held up for certification but that I would have both cars by the end of Sept. On the previous call they told me it was a software issue and the call before that I was told there was a refit for the air suspension. I don't know what to believe anymore. One car has been sitting in Halifax for six weeks. The other car arrived in Halifax Tuesday but it had been sitting in Germany for seven weeks before shipping.

On every call I was told my cars are on high priority. I would not bet the farm that these cars will be at the dealer by the end of Sept.

Ordered a Piedmont Green P3 E43 back in March. Used the VIN to track shipping. Saw that it cleared customs in Baltimore yesterday. Hope that Toad is right about being released today (the 20th). I have a big trip coming up... Salesman hasn't been very clear about the delivery date. Keeps saying, "end of September." Getting worried!

2018 e43
Sadly no e43 yet. How long do we wait before we bail and just get a different car? Text from dealer today:

We have not heard anything back from the VPC on all E43's, E63's and CLS550's and looks like still continuing to be delayed. They have not given us any reasoning just that we will be notified 24 hours before their release now so could be in a week or 3 weeks! I am so sorry I have been giving you all the info I have at my disposal and I know it's frustrating but this seems to be a pattern when new body styles come out I'm being told. I'll keep you posted when I know more.

Nope

I've sent about 10 emails to MB USA HQ and received Zero responses. I've gone online to chat and they have zero information. Amazing way to treat customers.

Wow. Sounds like a VPC issue maybe? Software maybe? Weird that the CLS is grouped in with the E classes...

It is nice to know that I am not the only one waiting for a E43. I too have tried the same channels and have gotten no information either. Still it is very frustrating.

Per MB USA

Thank you for your e-mail to Mercedes-Benz USA.

According to our Product Management Group, the E43 has not been released for sale in the U.S. because it has not been certified by the appropriate U.S. government agencies. Once certification is complete, the vehicle will be released. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide a timeframe for the vehicle's availability.

We appreciate your patience as the process moves forward.

Simonjb are you a Mercedes Employee? If so, I understand that there is no timeframe for the E43. That said, how long do delays caused by government certifications generally last? Thanks.

EDIT: I see that he must be quoting a response email. My bad.

This is strange because the 17 E43 was certified and there is no change in the 18 E43.

I ordered my cars last Feb. and I am at the end of my patience. My dealer also has a BMW dealership. They are looking for a 18 M550 with the right specs for me. It's not my first pick but I think I would be happy with it.

AFAIK every model year must be certified for sale in the US.

I spoke to MB Canadian HO again today. They do not have a clue when the E43 will be released or why it is being held up. I kept asking the guy I was speaking to if he was a real person or robot because he kept repeating the same thing. They had promised me my car by the end of September. That is no longer feasible.

Still trying to locate an M550.

'18 E43 AMG FINALLY HERE! '02 E320 4matic wagon
just received this from an email I sent to Mercedes corporate.

"Thank you for your email to Mercedes-Benz USA.

For the 2018 E43 AMG, there is quality campaign in place and we are waiting for the correct items to come from Daimler. This has prolonged the process of getting the vehicles to the dealer. We are working diligently at getting this matter resolved. The dealer would have access to the appropriate channels within MBUSA that handle distribution to request any information as it becomes available.

As the distributor of our vehicles, Mercedes-Benz USA apologizes that the wait time to receive your vehicle order has exceed our reasonable goals. We too, would have preferred the circumstances to allow the vehicle to arrive at your dealership in a more timely manner. However, we sometimes encounter unavoidable realities that will hinder our ability to provide the most expeditious production for our customers- as always is our objective.

That your wait time exceeded expectations, this too is our disappointment. We can only hope this one experience will not permanently overshadow our genuine efforts to provide the quality our customers expect and deserve.

The opportunity to respond is appreciated."

What a crock! My cars have been parked for six weeks +. Still nothing. Just imagine once we have taken delivery these cars how long it may take for repairs when they can't leave the gate after six weeks.

I'm becoming more hesitant by the day if I still want these cars.

I've sent a bunch more emails to MB officials. Bottom line - Nothing. Its interesting how they ignore some of their most loyal customers. But that loyalty is waivering.....

This was received today when I asked her why her response that it was a "quality" campaign was different from what others were hearing.....

"We apologize for the confusion. Our e-mail response group's response was for a different product, not the 2018 E43.
MBUSA is waiting for the the 2018 E43 to be certified. We assure you that is the reason for the delay."

Sincerely,
Robyn
