my 13 year old grandson discovered a strip of duct tape on the inside of the driver’s. Any idea why it is there would help.
Duct tape is near bottom edge.

Nothing behind it. My guess is that it was was a poor Pre Delivery Inspection on the part of the dealer. Their answer was that sometimes in the factory they use duct tape during electrical assembly .

Probably a temporary strip that they use during assembly to avoid scratching the paint.

Pretty sure it holds the guards on that get removed during PDI. Should have been taken off.
