2019 E Sedan build dates
If they held them at the dealer instead of the VPC, I’d end up in jail. Too tempting to break-in, take the car and leave a check :-)

Well actually, if I had the money (which I don't) and there was a limited production of a Ferrari (say 100 cars) I might, but certainly not for a MB, BMW or Audi or any other car from a major manufacturer.
Are you saying you are bound to take the car regardless of price?
Just my $.02.

They told me what their estimate of what the price would be, since MB didn’t disclose pricing until the June DOG. They were just about right. The MSRP is within $500 of their estimate. They’ll even honor the Costco special purchase price, even though it expired in June (of course there’s always another Costco price... maybe it’ll be a better deal by the time my car is delivered )

Also, do you a link to the invoice prices for 2019? I have the DOG but of course those are MSRP prices.
When I lease my 2019 (I lease and do not buy) the more information I have the better equipped I am to negotiate!
Thanks

Of course incentives vary and come and go.
Obviously, everything subject to change for every reason under the sun.... but the latest DOG has the Cabriolet being released Q3.... shows the AMG Cabriolet as Q4. Don’t know what the Sedan DOG says. He also says all sub-classes are not necessarily released at the same time. For instance, last year the 2018 E400 coupe was released in June or July whereas the sedans and Cab were released on Aug 20. He said historically the same for previous years.... subclasses getting released at different times.
He also said said one of the factors for when a subclass being released is available inventory of the previous model year. For instance, he said there are almost no 2018 Cabs available in the country. He says a lot of the decision on release date has to do with not wanting to make the current model years inventory less valuable. Makes sense.
Obviously, factors beyond MBUSA control are government stuff. People have been commenting here that the e-class hasn’t received certification... but the EPA only publicly publishes those results once or twice a year. The last one I can find on the EPA Web site is April 2018. Because MB has no cars on that list just means they didn’t submit their cars in time for that publication.
As selfish as it sounds, I’m only interested in when I can get my Cab, that’s been sitting rotting in Baltimore since July 6. :-)
interesting... my salesman checked with this region’s rep and said everything is still “on schedule” whatever that means.

Damn that’s quite far away. Did you order it with the digital instrument cluster? I remember last year there was a huge backlog of orders due to MB having low supply of the 12.3 inch displays which caused months of delays for some customers (I know my dealership received their first 2018 E63 S last month due to the delay). A lot of the new models use it so it’s not really surprising anymore if that’s the cause of it since the new S (supposedly no longer for 2020 MY), G, CLS are also using the same 12.3 inch instrument cluster.

This says theyll arrive late 2018 to the dealership for USA. Supposedly the HUD is delayed again when I last saw the order guide but at least in Canada they said it won’t matter for a customer build
