Steering wheel swap

I have a 2017 E300 steering wheel:

I want to swap my steering wheel with the facelift one:

Does anyone know if i'll NEED to change out my steering column? I understand cruise control is on the wheel now. I don't really care for functionality. I actually prefer to have cruise on the steering column. Can anyone confirm if i get this wheel that i'll be able to keep my existing steering column?

I know i'll probably need to program the new airbag with Xentry.

Steering column or very expensive adapter as NONE of the keys will work standard, Cruise control wil not work with old column

Rucarbon or Carismo Car design can upgrade you to a new style wheel with all buttons functioning minus the cruise control. this will still work via your steering column

Hi..

Just wondering if anyone manged to figure this out..
I'm in the same situation, I want to swap my current wheel to the newer one and want to know if the buttons on the wheel will work also the lane assist vibrations..
I also have the adaptive cruise so I guess I will have to change the buttons to the ones that, let you select the distance of the car in front but do I need to buy a new column, one withoit a cruise stalk.?
Thanks.

you will need to install and adaptor and a lane assist motor(for vibration)
depending on the options you need transfered this can run anywhere from 200-300 for the adaptor.
