E Class Build Time (W213)
BTW, there is no longer any shortage of 12" display screens for the All Terrain wagon line.

so that makes the delay around 5 month .
Will pick her up next week AGW. - Excited
It seems there is nothing missing in the configuration ... Fingers crossed

Just checked the configuration point by point and absolutely nothing is missing .. very relieved!
Pics coming ASAP

It's EXACTLY as ordered. widescreen, augmented reality, wireless charging etc .. it's all there
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Rough calculation: 6 months, which is what my dealer is quoting between 5 and 8 months for an order placed now.

If you signed for the sale 6 months ago at a certain price, they can't just raise that ?
that's just crazy!
BTW Mine's a lease, but i did see the invoice from mercedes to te lease company/dealer and it's the same price...

In the US the cap cost in a lease is the same as the selling price if you bought the car. There is a lease acquisition fee, $1095. Sales tax in the US is on the purchase/selling price. Where I live In New York, the sales tax is on the sum of the lease payments, which is substantially less than the selling price, and hence there is a very large tax savings. The residual, which depends on the the length and of the lease and mileage is set by Mercedes Benz Financial. The money factor (multiply by 2400 to get interest rate) is also set by Mercedes Benz Financial: However, the dealer can mark up, i.e., increase the money factor which is extra profit for him.
Traditionally the residual in the lease is usually substantially higher than the market value of the car at the end of the lease, hence the lease is "upside down"; That is why in the US, at the end of the lease, almost all cars are returned to the dealer.
Because of Covid and other things, new cars are selling above MSRP, there is a shortage of cars and used cars have dramatically increased in value to the point that the market value is now substantially higher than the residual - the price you can buy the car at the end of the lease. Hence, many people who lease, myself included, are now seriously considering buying our cars at lease end rather than turning in the car and leasing a new one.
Thanks.

we pay the monthly fee, which is around 1.040 eur for my next car of 81.200 eur sales price
we also have a tax (called tvs) which applies to company leases, ( not applicable as my car is hybrid - the more polluting the higher this tax)
at then end of the lease we have an option to buy (either the company or as private person)
the proposed price is slightly lower than market value (or at least in the past it was)
on top of the above we pay insurance, tires & petrol of course. that's it.
The only puzzle is to find the right configuration (packages/options) that gives you the cheapest lease;
My next car is about 15k more expensive than what i originally wanted.
because by adding a package & the AMG-line i got a cheaper deal as the resale value will be much higher

I'm waiting for the dealer to give me a delivery date soon but am expecting around 12 months wait to be honest. I have a friend who ordered a Audi Q4 in August 2021 and he has recently been told to expect delivery in October 2022.
These wait times are painful
Called a dealer in Poland, 10 days ago, as I saw they were selling a car which has arrived already. Turned out that it got sold on same day!

Person, I talked to was very proactive instead of making wait for delivery 9 months, he told me that he has a stock car already ordered. He checked and told me that he has another 2-3 days to change anything in it. Car has been ordered as diesel….
I spec it as petrol 200e 4Matic and etc. There were few things I couldn’t ordered like MultiBeam lights, head-up, memory seats but rest was available.
So I am expecting delivery in April 2022 so waiting time is around 3-3,5 months which is nothing.
One thing worries me though….LTE module isn’t available due to shortages!!! So no CommandOnline and eCall( emergency call). eCall is by EU must have in each new car.
Obviously there will be a service bulletin to fit LTE module once available. I guess that I will actually ask them for additional extended warranty, perhaps free service and even winter wheels. I guess auxiliary heating won’t work without LTE module either. Actually none of the MercedesMe functions would be working without LTE module as far as I am aware.

The shortage on LTE modems has been mentioned before. I find it odd if they are allowed to release the car to their customer without eCall capability. Could it be that the car is equipped with a 2G/3G modem instead and that modem changed to LTE later?

As I wrote it was ordered as diesel but I was able to change everything!
I will post once it arrives.
My build date is sometime during the second 10 day period of February and I’m just wondering when I can expect the car to land in Baltimore. Any replies will be appreciated.
I am afraid that none of remote services will work including Urban Guard, Live traffic, remote open/close doors, vehicle location, auxiliary heating/cooling, e-Call and etc.
This is pretty upsetting if you ask me!
I only wonder how would Mercedes bypass EU requirement for eCall.
The car arrived in perfect condition. The one fly in the ointment is the EVO slop/go 'feature'. When you stop, the engine turns off. When it starts (instantly!), you feel a bump in the car. There is a button on the console label "A" that defeats the EVO stop/go but it is only in effect for the current drive. It reinstated itself when the car is next driven I find this very annoying. The dealer said they could not deactivate it since it was "environmental".
There is definitely a leaning curve to learn all the controls. The instrument panel in person is LOADED with information. It is almost driver info and data overload.
The voice activate command is remarkable and really works. When driving, instead of taking you eyes off the road, just say "Hey Mercedes" and the liebenswürdige dame immediately grants your request.
My dealer made the purchase as painless as possible and I was afforded a comprehensive introduction to the car's controls. Mercedes Benz rules.
note: Somebody please tell me that there's a hack for this EVO. Sounds very annoying, and the cars I have driven with it I didn't like much at the time. I'm thinking it's not a law yet so there's that.
Of course not all cars are going to be the same with how they re-engage. A 'bump' is not good.

Glad to hear that all is fine. This auto stop/start could definitely be turned off. First I would do once mine arrives.
Does your arrived with LTE module? I am asking as mine won’t have it. Dealer hasn’t updated me on same and this kind of “worries” me. In a way that none of the remote functions would work until it has been installed.
