W213 2016 ambient light stuck on purple wont change colour
Hi everyone need a bit of help
i have a w213 e220 last night when i parked my car my ambient light was on blue which i keep it all the time ,woke up this morning started my car and lights were automatically purple ,and now when i go to change the colours is stays on purple any idea on what it could be ,when i go to the ambient lighting option it shows the lights are on white but the lights are stuck on purple

Reboot the command system (hold on/off button on center console for 30-60 sec until command reboots) or disconnect the battery might help. Rebooting any computer seems to fix many problems. What I’d try, not an expert on the 2016.

There is a setting called "Adjust Ambient Lighting" that turns on the bright purple color overriding what you have configured. I stumbled on it the other day and click on the setting wondering what it does. I think it's for adjusting the ambient light intensity. It's buried inside the System menu. You want to uncheck the box to turn off the override. I'm going by memory but I believe its under designs sub-menu but not positive.

did you try any of the above mentioned suggestions? Most likely its a software problem, so a reset might clear it. Alternatively you could look into a firmare update of comand?

I Tried the reset 60 sec, but wasnt the solution for me. I have also reseted everything to factory settings in command but still same problem

Same here, just picked up a 2017 E43 AMG, and if I disable multicolour node and try to select a single colour, it keeps reverting to Purple, Shade #28.
Seems most likely a software bug that is probably patched/fixed. Any ideas how to update firmware/software for the Comand system?

Had a customer come in for retrofitting ambient turbine air vents and 3d rotating tweeters, he had the same issue, coding fixed his issue, I can do this remotely as well would require you to have a windows laptop and open port 2.0 obd cable,

Yes, fixed it by going to the dealer to get the latest software available for the onboard computers.

Can be fixed by remote coding in the same time we can do ILS+, upgrade 2016 to 2019 or 2021 ambient lights, *** memory, AC memory, High Speed 360 camera etc.
