Drivers side heated arm rest not working
I have a ‘19 E63S and posted in the AMG section, but not nearly as much activity over there So figured I’d see if anyone has experienced this here.
My drivers side door panel arm rest heat does not work, however everything else does including passenger side. It’s selected on in the menus as well. I removed the door panel and visually everything looks fine, but you can’t actually see the heating element, just the wiring going to it.
My buddy hooked up his laptop and we did see a stored code that read as follows.
Thoughts?
B22F615 The output for the armrest heater has a malfunction. There is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit.

If all looks fine including wiring as you say, heating element incorporated into armrest may be malfunctioning. You were contemplating extended warranty if you purchased check to see if it is covered. Replacement armrest MSRP $325-425 depending on color, $230-300 online if you want I can pull part # to comparison shop, provide VIN.

sorry about that, I copied it from a sketchy screenshot. If the armrest is available separately, that would be great as it would be very difficult to find the exact spec door panel that I would need. And of course it would be a lot cheaper.

Great thank you so much for all the information. I found one of the sites that has the correct arm rest for $215. That’s actually not bad for something I can replace pretty easily myself. My only concern is if that’s not the issue, but I can’t really think of anything else it could be besides a defective heating element. Everything else looked good and heated arm rest is selected on in settings. I’ve had other cars where heating elements can eventually short.
