P052E issue - PCV

I gave the same to the dealer and now fingers crossed if they will cover.
Otherwise it will be a 2K thing in my view... I did not reset the code myself. The dealer diag fee is 327 USD that i need to pay if I take it back! Anyone with any inputs on this issue?
The more expensive issue right here is that failed PCV causes fatal ECU contamination with oil.
Make sure this is all repaired at once together with all evidence in place. If ECU fails 6Mo later with a dry PCV connector, then recall claim will no longer be available.
You may decide to act now by checking if ECU issue is already active.

PCV oil flods ECU: RIP.

inspect PCV connector... oil?
inspect ECU connector... oil?
Use pictures as simple evidence prior to repair claim being submitted.
Of course if you had an MB scanner you'd be able to read ECU faults status easily:
- LAUNCH
- CARLY
- AUTEL

Ask and pay if you have to get this inspection done. $300 now is worth to 10G savings. This will help you with a factual paper trail of when oil was found there....

I believe the PCV valve/control is part of emissions controls.
I would insist this is a warranty item.
Just my $.02
