Go ahead and laugh. Mudflaps

Ok, I'm coming at this subject for three reasons:
1. I live in a place where roads are sanded in the winter, and I don't want to drive/insure a beater for 5 months of the year.
2. My last car has been owned for 12 years and has suffered damage to fender well paint, lower fenders and lower body.
3. I'd love to be able to push the tires out a bit further with new wheels.

I've investigated PPF for the fender wells, received a goofy quote of $1,500 for a car that already has a full front PPF. I presume they wanted to remove the fender PPF and replace with it wrapped into wheel wells. This would be my preference, but there are a lot of uses for money...

Has anybody seen a small discrete modern version of mudflap that would cover the lower six inches of the wheel well and be 1/2 to inch in width? I'm not talking about the underside, on the fender.

WeatherTech may have some mud flaps that fit your needs.

What does everyone think of these? I'm not a big fan of sticking things on my car but it seems like a good compromise between full flaps or nothing.

No they are not, see attached, just remove the plastic fender fasteners, align mud flaps over holes and reinstall plastic fasteners.

Couldn't find OEM mudflaps for an S213 AMG-line.

Bought some from eBay and they appear as though they will fit perfectly. Somebody else on this forum pointed me to these.
eBay Mudflaps W213/S213 AMG-Line

Same seller offers them for the Luxury trim as well.

Waiting for the weather to warm up so I can wash the car and fender wells prior to installing. The come with screws but the holes line up perfectly with the plastic fasteners on the fender well.

I’m not sure if there are OEM AMG available. I initially purchased the less expensive aftermarket to save money. Well that turned out to be a huge mistake. One broke off at a carwash, so I purchased the OEM. There’s a huge difference in quality between them, the aftermarket were pretty thin and flimsy compared to OEM. So I paid more for being cheap in the beginning. Also the aftermarket fit wasn’t that accurate to begin with. Hopefully this information will be useful or helpful to others.
