Don't have a new E Class so I can't speak to some E Class specific things but the Drivers assistant pack is a must to me. Also the MB-Tex upper dash and door trim, very affordable but itmakes the interior feel WAY more luxurious.

MB-Tex upper dash and door trim has become a showstopper on all my vehicles since this became available on the W205 C-class. I literally wouldn't accept a vehicle without it.

I second this, an absolute MUST HAVE! Both my W205s had it, I used to get tons of compliments when people sat in the car because of it. Plus it’s so cheap to tick this option, I can’t believe they’re not all specced with it.

Seconding Airmatic, the air suspension is fantastic but the rear wheel steering is the real winner for me. Ton of maneuverability and you will definitely need it for a larger sized car, I loved how responsive it made the steering. Pricey option though.

I am curious about RWS. I really like the air suspension. Yes, when you go for the MB, it's easier to get over-budget. However, with Calif roads and freeways ( in general), air suspension is a big plus. I'm still looking at the new E and wait for a more reasonable price.

My favorite thing is probably the cheapest option. 11H backlit wood trim. Of course this would not be possible if you get the super screen. I posted a video showing it if you're interested.
Adding: The 243 Active Lane Keeping Assist is pretty useless.

I've pretty much finalized my spec other than exterior color and wheel choices. The spec includes most options with the major exceptions of the Superscreen, which is a gimmick of questionable use imo; the Driver Assistance Package, which is mostly driving automation which I will not use; the Multicontour seating package (although I will get the stand-alone vented seats); and the winter package, since I'm down south.
I am adding Pinnacle Trim, Airmatic, Nappa Leather with the Leather Package, the Digital Light Package, since it's required with Pinnacle Trim, and a bunch of stand-alone options.
My greatest hesitation right now is the lack of 4-zone climate control. I know it's coming and since none of the Merc dealers in my area are discounting, I really have no impetus to jump on placing an order right now. For those of you who know the brand better than I, are there other options that should be coming along in the near-future other than 4-zone?

You've seen a W214 sticker with Warmth and Comfort and Engineering packages? As you say, neither of those things are in the Order Guide that I got from this site. do you know of other super secret options that may be available?

My mistake! Sorry - I have seen "Enigineering Package" once (on a 350 of course), but should have said, "have NOT seen "DB8 Multicontour Seating Package", which includes:
DB8 Multicontour Seating Package
■ PBR - ENERGIZING Package Plus
■ 399 - Active Multicontour Front Seats
■ P68 - Warmth and Comfort Package
■ 902 - Rapid Heating Front Seats
■ P21 - AIR BALANCE Package
■ 436 - Luxury Headrests in the Front
■ 906 - Heated Armrest
■ 401 - Ventilated Front Seats
■ P68 - Warmth and Comfort Package".
Instead I see the Winter Package and Ventilated seating as an additional option.

As a W213 owner with a car pretty much loaded (MSRP was $82K), I can provide my thoughts on non-standard "must-haves" vs "nice-to-haves"
Must-haves (non-standard features)
Nice-to-Haves (non-standard features)
Must-haves (non-standard features)
- Burmeister Surround Sound
- 360 Camera setup
- Air Body Control Air Suspension
- Active Multi-contoured seats with Massage
- Digital LED package
- Any AMG attire/dress-up (rims, suspension, AMG Ride Control+, etc.) Me likey
- Acoustic Comfort Package
Nice-to-Haves (non-standard features)
- Panoramic moonroof
- Distronic
- HUD
- Nav
- Window shades (rear window/rear-sides)

@Povitica3, why are the Active Multi-contoured seats with Massage special for you? Compared to the regular seats, are there any differences other than the auto-inflatable side bolsters and massage functions? Do the regular seats have manually adjustable side bolsters?

I am considering an E450, and likely to add a number of options based on threads like this. But 1 of the options has me stumped: the superscreen. Aside from the wow factor and marketing fluff of "entertainment, comfort settings and more", what is the purpose? Feels like a gimmick, but I am pleased to be wrong. Anyone use one yet and found value?

But that big black dull dash…
I agree the SuperScreen is kinda silly. But the look with that large space filled with what? The drab black? “Flowing Lines in either black or maple???
Personally I wish they would simply extend the leather trim up/ down into that space. The W212 and previous generations seemed to do a better job of presenting that side of the dash. In my opinion it just looks like a slab of space they had to fill and simply took the easy way out.
What a beautiful car - except the “passenger side slab”. Anybody agree?

2024 MB E-Class 350 4Matic (W214); 2021 MB GLB 250
The Digital Light Package with Projection because it's not available until December 2024.
the 3D INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. It's cool but not really needed. Cool tho.
Love the 4D SURROUND SOUND

Hold E350 Options
I bought a CPO 2021 E350. I waited 5 months for one with enough options and low mileage to show up. Here's the list of options (attached) I got and wanted, except for the Multicontour Massage Seats which I did want. I had it in my 2014 E350 and it as very good around faster bends.

Don't get the super screen
I've had problems with mine freezing which locks you out of the radio, heat/AC, cameras, etc. MB replaced my unit but it still doesn't work. I've owned my Benz for 5 weeks, it's been in the shop for 2 weeks and it has to go back again. Even if it worked I'm not sure what the advantage would be.

Regarding the Superscreen, I think the value is dependent on your needs and what you value. I'll agree that it's not necessary strictly speaking, but it does add value. At the very least, it will add resale value if you ever decide to sell it. I ordered an E450 with the package and have a E350 lease with it as well. I think it will come in handy on road trips with a passenger in the car that can use it for their own entertainment. You are supposed to be able to watch some streaming services with it but I have not tried yet. You can also listen to a different audio source than what is being played in the car speakers on a Bluetooth headset. The passenger can operate the navigation system giving them easier access to it where they don't have to lean over to operate the touch interface. While not being used or when no passenger is in the seat, it can display some static images of E-Class cars but I don't know why anyone would want to do that. You can also have flying stars, a functional clock (analog with no numbers), and a functional compass. I use the latter and like having it there when driving. It's easy to see and includes elevation information.
