Don't go by my comment on that. I was referring to MBUX 3 on the 206/254 platforms. You E folks have the wall of screens, so surely you have split functions (hopefully).
COMAND definitely had split screen on the W213, I am not sure if MBUX 1.0 that facelift W213 had, had split screen but I did hear reports of MBUX 2.0 and MBUX 3.0 doesn't have split screen anymore although I wasn't able to verify that. That said, those latter systems all have something called zero layer that might help.
Has anybody been able to get Sirius XM channels into the favorites list? Just had my software updated at the dealer because over the air updates required the base software to be replaced by the dealer. They still go to Sirius XM Favorites and there is no way to select that as a source. This has been a problem since May
Still a problem with my new 2025 GLC350e. The problem is the MBUX 3rd generation. It is not a feature but a software bug. It was fine on my previous 2022 GLC300 model (with earlier MBUX generation). Its practically dangerous trying to move to another favorite Sirius station while driving. I even tested if “Hey Mercedes” would help. She could easily display and start standard radio favorites, but if you try asking her to find satellite radio favorites, or Sirius favorites or SiriusXM favorites or SXM favorites, she says there is a problem even though I do have some saved in the SXM favorites tab. I also cant display a favorites only list/ scroll in the drivers screen between the gauge clusters like you used to. I’ve tried everything I could think of to make it safe. I’ve sent emails to Mercedes and even Mbition (the actual software company that develops the MBUX) with no response yet. They better have it fixed in the next update because it should be easy to implement something that wasn't broke in a previous version.

Everything you just said applies to my 2025 GLC300 as well. My third brand new Mercedes, and possibly my last. I should have taken a longer test-drive, so I'm not entirely without fault, but I just assumed Mercedes would move forward with features, or at least keep the same. Not get worse!

Hopefully when MB OS. comes to the W214 in the following model years things are better, the MBUX 3.0 is basically a transition period for Mercedes just like how Windows Vista was a transition period before Windows 7 came out. MB OS. is in house and will not be based on any existing software: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...llo-mb-os.html
The next gen CLA is already confirmed that it will get it, the W223 facelift will likely get it.
This is very true. Thx for pointing that out. It is more of a restart in that its cross-platform and relying less on hardware as I recently learned, However it only took me a matter of days to fully understand every feature and setting in this car and see a few flaws that could not have been possibly missed with proper testing by a software company that has (and I quote from their website) a thousand software engineers dedicated to MBUX and the phone app. Even with translating multiple languages that just seems like bloat software in human form. Germans are supposed to be more efficient. 😉
Hopefully if this new concept of creating car interface by universal software build regardless of display type and car class works, they should be able to spit out updates quite frequently and easily. They should also be getting more complaints as the 2025s get bought since we are all in the same boat with the same software so may be inspired to address it quicker. I think if they want to see less irritation by their customers, Mercedes need to better market the speed of updates to their software to account for the change in platform and rush to get it out. In the same way our various phone applications will update fairly frequently.

I don't think the issues with favorites is a bug. But rather it's a design choice. A bad design choice. There are similar poor design choices in the way the USB music interface works making it dangerous to operate while driving. I seriously doubt an update will be out to make it better any time soon. They are still working on actual bugs. I hope I'm wrong though. Until then, I'm trying to use more voice control.

I wish voice command would help the situation but the car tells me there is a problem when I ask her to play Sirius favorites (or any combination of words to get her to play them). Maybe you have better luck. I did get a response back from Mercedes basically telling me I need to go thru the dealer service department first before they take steps to help. You would think by now based on some earlier posts in this thread they already have this issue acknowledged.
I have had my 2025 GLC 300 for just over a month, and I am also having problems with the SiriusXM favorites. For the first few weeks they would show up under SiriusXM in zero layer when I was on that source. Now all that will show up are my FM favorites regardless of source. Not sure what happened, but it is frustrating to have to enter a menu to see your satellite favorites.

Yes. I noticed that as well. Im not sure or didnt notice that you could see other source favorites there when I first got the car but its only the standard radio favorites now. Its all related to the car not recognizing SXM favorites as part of the main favorites tab. Im just using carplay SiriusXM until the issue is fixed.
Yes I have the same problem. 2025 GLC300 4matic. Dealer Service Department said "other similar cars on the lot have the same issue, so we don't see any problem". REALLY hoping for a software update and fix. Indeed, dangerous to change stations while driving. Using Car Play in the meantime.
Just got my car back from the dealer (they are awesome actually). Service did an update. Dealer only updates do still exist so the over-the-air stuff doesn't deal with everything just yet. My Sirius favorites are back with easy access now. Unless it was coincidental. Its still not perfect the way the older MBUXs had in being able to scroll thru favorite channels like you can with standard FM/AM favorites, but now its at least easy to get to with the zero layer shortcut. I like my car again…for now

I agree. Same for me...............

What do you mean in terms of what is looks like? Meaning, if you are on NAV screen in center console screen with Zero Layer enabled, what is appearing for in the media/radio tile now? Thanks!
The initial shortcut box looks the same, but now when I open it the SXM favorites appear below. Before the update it only showed my FM radio favorites and I had to go hunt for SXM favorites list using 2 additional buttons. I also attached the new software build number.
Glad yours is working properly now, and thanks for the screenshot. That’s EXACTLY how mine looked before something went wrong a few weeks ago. Im going to set up an appointment with the dealer for a software update!
Couldnt say but prior to my update I had E262.3-4975. I know someone in this forum with an E350 had the same so I would assume so. Something to confirm before wasting a trip.
I have a 25 GLC and the radio set up is horrible. Never had a car where I can’t save and scroll thru Sirius favorites. I have a 25 GLA loaner with the smaller screen and it does allow Sirius and am/fm stations to be saved as favorites where you can scroll. Hoping it’s a fixable bug and not design choice. It’s distracting while driving and trying to scroll thru stations I don’t want or click into many menus to get that list. At this point, I probably wont even subscribe unless it gets fixed.
I’ve got an appointment with the dealer on Monday morning for a software update. I will report the result once it’s done. I will also post the current and updated software version. Hope this works!!

I can't believe there hasn't been a fix for this yet. I would imagine that Mercedes has had a ton of complaints about this. It's dangerous to try to find a radio station the way they have it set up!
I just got my new C300 in November and I'm blown away that Mercedes allowed this to happen. Hopefully, the update you get will be a fix for this issue. If it is, I'm calling right after the holidays.
I had a software update done at the dealership last Monday, December 9, and it seems to have fixed the problem. 2025 GLC 300 4-matic—took delivery on 10/7.
