2025 E450 order
Just got 2025 E450 allocation for Aug. build. Have ordered most option packages including Pin pack, Airmattic, driver *** pack, multicontour seat pack, sun pack. Soft door, rear air bags, nappa leather. Did not order large wheels. Car will be built with 19” wheels with RF tires due to poor quality roads in my area. Should make nice daily driver for my wife and will replace 21 GLE53.

had them order me a E450 too, I looked at a C43, but decided didnt need a little rocket for drive
around town. Sporty fun might wear off fast, The S was just bigger than wanted, liked
the red leather seat option. Just wasnt that big of deal to go 40K more for red seats LOL
Brown nappa will be fine

I'm assuming that with a build date of July it will automatically be a 2025 model. You should call your sales rep who placed the order. I ordered a 2024 back in April with a July 1 build date. A few weeks ago, my sales rep called me to tell me that it was automatically switched to 2025 with the same July 1 build date. My assumption being that all builds starting July 1st and later are 2025 models. The only difference besides an additional color choice (MANUFAKTUR Patagonia Red) is that all 2025 models come standard with a center air-bag between driver and passenger to prevent them colliding with each other in an accident. No word yet on how that impacts MSRP but I would expect a minor increase.

I agree. I have a build date of July 19. The car has a dealer invoice date of Aug.29th, meaning it should be arriving in Halifax, NS on that date. I am assuming it will be at my dealer around Sept.15Th.

I did ask my rep before, he said it would still be the 2024, the exact build date is the last week in June, so given the cut off, it's going to be a 2024, maybe i should ask for them to push it back a week? I dont know if it's worth waiting for only slight differences and the increase in the MSRP.

Just received a note from my dealership that my 2025 E450 build is due to be "completed" on 7/6 (info transmitted to my dealership directly from MB). According to my dealership, this notice also serves as an alert for any potential last-minute changes that we want to put in for the build as my order is close to the "configuration freeze date". We are pleasantly surprised at that since at the time of my order, the quoted build date was 7/31. With this apparent move-up of the build date, my dealership now estimates/expects the vehicle to be delivered in mid-August.

Confirm Your 2025 Crossover Order/Specs
You may want to double check your order, especially if it’s one that crossed over from 2024. My latest review of my 2025 E450 order that crossed over from 2024 showed missing specs (Pinnacle trim was missing). I caught it by asking to change the seating to Nappa leather and noticed the DX2 Pinnacle option I originally had was missing. My dealer rep said he would make the correction Monday and will send me a new spec sheet. The good part is that I can see the PO number and know car will definitely be a 2025 E450 model year, so things are moving along. The car should arrive at the Brunswick VPC according to the purchase order.

PO Submission?
Yes, one needs to double check the order before it is submitted. I decided to cancel my original order of a 2024 E450 and placed a brand new order of an equivalently equipped 2025 model. In my particular case, there was also an error in porting over the equipment list of the orginal order to the new one in that an additional item was included (illuminated grill for $400). I caught the error in the purchase order and the additional item was deleted before it was submitted. In addition to the center air bag, there is also a minor difference between the two model years in that MB now provides a choice in the headliner color in the 2025 version. For example, with a Macchiato Beige/Black interior (my order), one can now specify Macchiato Beige (55U) or Black (51U) as headliner for 2025 whereas only Macchiato Beige was available in the previous model year (all other interior colors are similarly provided with a choice in headliner color). I don't know which color combination is the default used by MB, but it is advisable to make sure your preferred headliner color is indeed specified in your new purchase order, especially if the equipment list is transferred over from one for a previous model year.

Anyone aware when the PO submission cutoff date occurs in this process? I understand the PO means my dealership has an allocation but at some point the PO must become “firm”. With how things work with MB the dealer rep is the important link in making sure you get what you want because that’s our sole link to the manufacturer. Thus, I’ll follow up with him tomorrow to find out what constitutes “these are the final specs for your car, speak now or forever hold your peace!”

I am assuming you live in the US. Your transit period is on the short side. The car will be in production 4-5 days, then shipped to the port and wait to be loaded on a ship. The ship will make one more stop in Germany, the UK and Halifax , NS., the first NA port.. I am not familiar how many stops in the US before it gets to your dealer. My experience is 6-8:weeks after production for delivery to you assuming your car is unloaded at a port of entry on the east coast.
My car has a build date of July 19Th and I expect delivery to the dealer about Sept. 15Th.

You must be closer to the coast than I am. I’m 1400 kms from Halifax, the Canadian port of entry. The car is shipped by rail from there to Montreal, then by truck to Ottawa.

Ordered a 2024 e 450
Hello all,
I ordered a new E 450 in January. The initial date of delivery was May ,
Now the production date is late June .
They don’t give me a date that it will be here …does anyone have an idea about that?
Also, should I just cancel the 2024 and order the 2025?
I am not in a hurry as my 2014 with 26 k miles works fine and I can drive my husband’s 2024 s
Thanks for your help
