2025 e450 horse power and torque increased?

Did the 2025 e450 sedan get a horsepower and torque bump?

on the mbusa website, it now says 429hp and 413 lb/ft torque. It says it in more than one spot as well.

I remember the website had the 375hp / 369 lb/ft torque figures prior. So did the e450 for model year 2025 get a power boost?

If so, that sucks if you got a 2024 model like I did!

It’s a typo.

There is a long discussion about in the order guide thread. Looks to be a typo and that it's likely that they mistakenly put the 2023 E53 power numbers.

Also, if you take a look at the window sticker on the latest pic by tomd in the 2025 MY 450 Delivery thread, it states the hp as 375.

from the performance figures that have been listed for the 2024s and the 2025s it makes sense that the 429 hp figure is correct. How would it be possible to get 4.4 seconds zero to 60 with only 375 hp? My 2019 is rated at 362 hp and lists 0 to 60 as 5.1 seconds. If the 375 ho were true no way would that make the car over a half second quicker zero to 60 with only 13hp more. Maybe they are including the boost from the hybrid e motor with the 429 hp figure? That’s the best explanation I can figure. If it is infact a typo of the 429 hp figure listed through the document listed above that’s a major blunder on mbs part. The other figure I’ve seen listed for the 2024s is a 12.9 second quarter mile. I think that was listed in a motor trend review of a 2024 e450 sedan I’ll see if I can find that again and post it. No way would this car be doing 12.9 seconds in the quarter mile with what the car weighs with just 375 hp.

just found a Edmund’s review listing performance specs and no way could quarter mile and 0 to 60 jump these numbers with only a 13 hp gain. I’d be curious what dyno numbers would come out to on this car. Edmunds list quarter mile as 12.8. That’s a very respectable time.

...21 GLE53 24 GLE53
All I know is that my 25 E450 is coming with 375 HP. My 24 GLE53 has 429 HP. There is no doubt the 429 HP in the E450 is a typo. Tuning could get it to 429 HP without adding the super charger of the GLE53. The difference is that it could not do 0-60 of the 53 with the super charger. In any event 375 HP should do the job for a nice daily driver.

It’s a typo. The 429 HP AMG 53 vehicles have an electric supercharger. The E450 does not. I mentioned in the other thread on the topic…the measurement is peak HP. The EQ boost mild hybrid system included with the M256 significantly increases torque off the line and adds a bit of low RPM power, making it quicker than the V6…but it is done by 3k RPM so contributes nothing to the peak number, which the engine alone reaches at over 5k RPM. Car and Driver got 4.4 to 60 with the 2021 E450 AT wagon.

Thanks guys for the clarification.

So for the 53amg’s, they include an actual supercharger? Not just an electrically powered fan to help assist the turbocharger?

Just curious because I am really seriously thinking about trading in my 2024 e450 for a 2024 CLE53 amg. The cle53 makes 443hp, not sure why it’s more than the 429hp in other 53amg arrangements using the same engine.

You are better to wait for the E53 plug in hybrid with a combined 577 HP. you can order this fall and get delivery early next year..

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I would have waited for sure but I need a wagon and doesn’t look like Mercedes is ever gonna bring the E53 wagon to the USA. It is available in Europe though.

I wanted the E53 sedan but could not wait any longer. Warranty expired on my 21GLE53 in July. I was hoping to make that my contribution to climate change.
