2024 E450 driver rear view mirror reverse tilting
Ever since I got it when I put it in reverse the driver mirror would tilt down, which is very handy in my narrow driveway. About a week ago it suddenly stopped. I saw the instructions about the passenger side mirror tilt down but they don’t seem to apply to the driver side. Anyone know if this was an update or setting that got reset?

That is strange, I don't think the driver side ever tilt down only on the passenger side, will need someone else to chime in.

It's only the passenger side. Page 154 in the owners manual.

Thanks for confirming, I guess non of the MBs ever had it tilt on the driver side at least not from my experience and what I remembered, perhaps OP made a small mistake. All good though. That said, it is also possible it was a glitch that it tilted the driver side, maybe it suddenly thought the vehicle is right hand drive?

Well, I know it was not my imagination, I was pleasantly surprised when I backed it out my driveway for the first time. Maybe something related with obstacle detection?

Maybe it's an undocumented feature. Try following the instructions, but for the driver side and see if that works.

Not related to obstacle detection. If it wasn't a glitch, perhaps just happened to change profiles and adjusting the driver side mirror accordingly.
